They cut well but I took away a star for the rather skinny wooden handles because they started to feel a little bit fuzzy and lost their sheen after a couple of washes in the dishwasher. Maybe that’s normal, I don’t know. I wont return them because I need them but next time I may consider plastic or metal handles.

I like the idea of a non-serrated blade that can be sharpened. They are sharp and attractive out of the box. Would have given 4 or 5 stars if not for the defective handle on one of them (see void in image) which I didn't notice for several days Not worth the hassle of returning, so disappointed in my luck and the lack of quality assurance. Still, hard to find a decent smooth edged steak knife set of 8 at this price. I would have been extremely pleased if not for the one defective grip.

These knives are amazing. I didn’t expect much for the price. We have used them on steak, prime rib and a shank ham. Cuts perfect. Neighbors were enjoying dinner with us and liked them so much they are buying them.They look nice and the handles are comfortable

Not bad for the money, and they are sharp. I doubt that these are German stainless as they have no maker marks on the tang. Haven't used them yet so durability hasn't been established, but what do you want for around twenty bucks. They are certainly packed nicely.

These are probably the sharpest knives I've ever held. They cut beef steak like butter. The metal can rust, so hand wash and dry is wise. Well balanced too

These knives were an excellent purchase. We needed a set of knives that were reasonably priced, sharp enough for a good steak, and pleasing to the eye. We hit on all three.The packaging was pleasant and everything arrived well taken care of. First thing I had to was slice right into a steak. What a joy to handle! Very balanced in the hand, some of the super expensive knives are just too bulky and heavy, not these…The knives look great in our butcher block. A sacrifice we did make is that these are not suitable for the dishwasher, that would have made them perfect. 5/5 stars and would buy again.

Just because it says German steel, it is still just steel. Nice looking budget knife. Looking at the cutting edge, keep a good knife sharpener handy and make sure you use a wooden board. Good stainless steel is very complex and keeping the knife sharp you need quality steel that is hard. Cheaper knives fall short on the end. The proof of the pudding is in the eating.So here we are a few month later, at March25,2024.As I said. Budget knifes. However, even budget knifes have to live up to a certain standard. It does not say what kind of wood is used on the handle, but something is totally awry with the kind and quality. These knives have never been in water, always carefully hand washed. In fact, two have never been used. Here is the bad part. The wood has shrunk so much that the sharp steel profile now sticks out nearly half a Millimeter all around.It just boggles my mind, to produce a product with such a glaring error. It essentially reduces this product to scrap. Every time you grip the handle, all you feel is the razor sharp edges of the steel.Do yourself a favour and stay away from this make, it will make you angry every time you use it.
