I don't use my soldering paraphernalia every day but when I do so, a solder sucker is an invaluable accessory. It sucks solder when I need it sucked. Sounds obvious and simple but a recapping project would end up messier and less reliable without a solder sucker. This one appears to be a quality product that works well. As an occasional user, it works well for me and will reside in my soldering kit until I need a new one.

This is nicer to hold and use, and better looking, than cheap plastic suckers. I like the silicone tip because it lets you get right on top of what you want to remove. As a bonus, the tips are replaceable, and it comes with extra. The suction was sufficient for my little hobby projects, but if you solder a lot, or have bigger jobs, you’ll probably want something with a bit more power.

This solder sucker is pretty good ($9).It's metal and is sturdy. It will survive accidental drops, rattling around in a tool box, and general abuse. The suction is sufficient, but could be better. The trigger release is fast and barely requires any pressure before releasing.I ordered this because I didn't want a larger plastic sucker. However, the small size and smooth finish on this metal sucker make for a slippery grip. Desoldering is a slightly stressful operation (for me at least!) and it's easy to fumble this sucker in the heat of the moment. If you have larger sized hands, you might find this sucker difficult to use.

This is a very powerful solder sucker. It really pulls the solder from the through-holes on the circuit board. It makes correcting my mistakes a breeze.

This desoldering tool is an upgrade over conventional solder suckers in a number of ways. First is its highly heat-resistant silicone tip. Depending on the silicone type, it can tolerate up to 500F in temps without deformity and without emitting harmful fumes. The user already has their noses full with solder/flux fumes, they don't have to add carcinogenic plastic fumes to the list. The bundle includes two spare silicone tips about 2'' in length that can be cut down to length to be used for years on end without needing for replacements. Secondly, this solder sucker has very little "recoil" when triggered, making it both easier and efficient as a result. What's even more enticing is its consumer-friendly pricing at least at the time of writing. I'd highly recommend to tinkerers of all skill levels. 5 out of 5 stars.

Very well built. All aluminum construction. Easy one hand operation. Great suction. The silicone tip helps to provide more efficient suction. All for a very low price.
