I am learning about cable testing and thought it would be nice to learn to be able to check my various cable and ethernet connections. While I am still a novice at this, the unit looks nice and looks like it will more than suffice for my general needs. Nice Unit!

This testing set is a good thing to have if you are testing networking devices such as routers and poe injectors. The device set is not bad but not user friendly in terms of learning. You have to know a bit in order to know how to use this and there is a bit of learning curve.Pros:1. They both work independently of each other. No need to connect them to get a proper reading.2. Simple physical setup and easy access to the port.3. Screen makes readings easier to view and understand for the most part.4. Preinstalled application are useful and accurate.5. Accurate testing6. Can get reading without needing to connect to other devices.Cons:1. The battery is a bit on the weaker end and does not last as long as I want it to.2. Device is not the easiest to learn. Instructions could be better.3. Button registration can be a bit better. It does not always register when I press down.4. User interface could be better.Overall the testing devices are well made so you do not have to worry about it being broken or anything like that. The battery life could be improved as it does not hold a charge very well. The tests I performed with these are pretty accurate and give a good reading that I can report with. The down side is that there is a learning curve to this in terms of software and usage. It is not straight forward and the instructions could be improved. You have to do a bit of fiddling to understand what does what.

A good network cable tester is great to have in your kit. This one has tons of bells and whistles on it - and so far everything I've used it on has given me the same (accurate) readings as my other tester.The instructions and operation are very confusing if you've never used one before. It is not intuitively designed at all. OTOH they did cram a ton of features into this machine - so be sure to watch a video on using some of the more advanced features.

This network cable tester was tested in a rural area and it worked well. It was used to test cables for networks and cameras in a security system. It tells you how long the cable is and we physically measured it afterwards and the measurement was correct. You can use this to test for broken cables and wires and to make sure your connections are secure. Happy with order. I got this for my husband who has been needing a new one for a while. He said this is definitely nice and works overall, but there is room for improvement on a few things. We were very happy that this came very well packed and secured so there was no damage to it whatsoever from delivery. Everything was in pristine condition. It does come with instructions. They are not the most clear and easy to read so if you don't know what you were doing or how to use one of these you will want to look up YouTube videos because the directions are minimally helpful. I do have to say all the buttons are very well labeled and you can easily tell what button does what. This definitely matches up with the ad in terms of measurements so the chord length is spot on and exactly what my husband needed! Very accurate and pretty user friendly. He already knew what he was doing so it took him no time to figure out how to use it without the instructions. His biggest complaint was how short the battery is. It does not take long to charge up but the charge does not last as long as his previous one. So we would really love to see them improve the battery on this. The only other thing we noticed like someone else stated when you push down a button sometimes it lags or does not register the button push and you have to push it again. Not too bad and not a total deal breaker. Overall it gets the job done and does everything else that it is supposed to do! Definitely a solid 8 out of 10 overall and it would definitely be a 10 out of 10 if they would just improve those two things! Still worth it for the price and works as it should.

After using the initial charge. The toner / scanner won’t take a charge via USB-C and it is completely dead.
