NICHE CYLINDER

NICHE PISTON
An ATV piston is a component of engines, pumps, and gas compressors. It is located in a cylinder and is made gas-tight by piston rings. In an engine, its purpose is to transfer force from expanding gas in the cylinder to the crankshaft through a piston rod and or connecting rod
Piston Anatomy
A piston is a cylindrical engine component that slides back and forth in the cylinder bore by forces produced during the combustion process. The piston acts as a movable end of the combustion chamber. The stationary end of the combustion chamber is the cylinder head.
Piston Components
ATV Piston components include the piston head, piston pin bore, piston pin, skirt, ring grooves, ring lands, and piston rings. The piston head is the top surface of the piston which is subjected to tremendous forces and heat during normal engine operation
NICHE GASKET
A gasket is a mechanical seal which fills the space between two or more mating surfaces, generally to prevent leakage from or into the joined objects while under compression.
Some Types of Gaskets:
- Head gaskets create a seal between the engine block and cylinder head. This seal establishes a proper compression and prevents fluid leaks into the cylinders
- Base gaskets create a seal between the top-end of your engine and the engine cases. Stop pesky engine oil leaks before they cause permanent damage to your engine.
- The valve cover is sealed to the upper section of the engine cylinder head by a valve cover gasket. As it passes around the camshafts, rockers, and valves, the gasket stops engine oil from seeping out.

Inclinaison pour connecter le carburateur n’était pas le même que celui d’origine. Pour le reste était correct. Disons qu’après la pose de piston , cylindre et qu’il reste le carburateur à mettre pis qu’il rentre pas ……

A few Head bolts were snapping at 16 ft lbs before 20ft lbs which is required spec . I removed my old ones and installed worked fine cheap bolts. The bore measured good and looked good. Assembled and running for 6 hours so far seems fine.

Both boxes in the Amazon box were broken open. No broken or missing parts. And as the photo shows cylinder came with surface rust over half of it. Definitely a cheap kit, but hopefully lasts long enough til my stock cylinder is bored. Update: got it together. Went together fine and surprisingly started first pull. Still breaking it in but so far so good. As another reviewer stated, the studs are terrible. Replaced with studs from stock cylinder and was able to torque the properly

This jug was poorly machined both the cylinder and the flat plate were the carb attached was at the complete wrong angle not allowing the carb to be attached. Just get your original bored at a machine shop!!

I have installed numerous of these kits for the 2 cycles. The only kit I had issues with were for the yamaha banshee. The cylinders were not machined correctly for the head to mount but customer service sent me out another cylinder for the side that I was having issues with. It has been two years with running every other weekend and still that banshee runs great. I just put a lot on the polaris 400 and that machine is running great as well.
