I bought the book for the pattern on the cover- I read the reviews before purchasing it which said most of the other designs were not something most people would make. They were right -maybe one other I would consider but essentially would only make the cover pattern which I have not yet tried and it is not currently on my list. It was a good buy used so don't really feel that I wasted money.

Too many repeats from previous books...

I bought this because I thought it was a new book, but I have this book under a different picture on the cover and all the patterns in my other book are in this book. I think it was wrong for her to publish this as a new book. I would send it back but it is too much trouble and would cost too much to send it back for what I paid for the book. I don't think I will purchase another one of her books and I have all the ones she has published so far. I am very disappointed in this transaction. I work at a yarn shop In Milford Michigan and when I showed them the book she said she had the book on her shelf for sale and it was the one that I had bought before. I have knitted several scarves from the book and they are display in her shop. She didn't think this was fair deal either. Bad plan all the way around.

This book reaches just about every taste in knitting designs. A good collection of funky and traditional designs. A good reference.

Wonderful as to be expected by Nicky Epstein. Lots of ideas for gifts for family and friends and myself as well

I thought that some of the scarves in this book were way out there, for example the swiss cheese scarf - really? But then there were things in this book like the variety of trims you can knit instead of just plain fringe that are just plain inspired and will make my projects really special. I can't wait to try the scarf on the cover either it is so pretty.

To start, I've been knitting for over 50 years. I have most of Ms. Epstein's pattern books and find them to be fresh and innovative, but this book, in my opinion, just doesn't make it. The cover pattern and one or two others in the book are patterns I would make; however, the rest of them I find are either just plain weird or desperate attempts at being different. There are more than 30 patterns in this book, so I call it "not worth the price."

I'm please with all the different patterns. I would recommend this book to anyone who's likes to take on small projects, great buy!

Love to make scarves: small enough to carry with you, affordable, etc. Also name recognition of the author. These were some of my considerations when I purchased this book. HOWEVER...big however...the projects therein were UGLY! To the max ugly. Just one or two items I would consider making.
