This is a very nice camera, however I do wish it had an owners manual with it. I had to buy that separate. Also, they included the wrong transfer cable which would not plug into the camera because it had the wrong size terminal. Other than that, the camera works as expected and takes great pictures.

So far I’m loving this camera. The price was amazing and it’s super easy to use. It’s light also. Mainly got it to get into photography and was dying to get pictures of the moon. This little camera did not disappoint. I will update later to see how is holds up in general but so far I loving it!Update 1month: Still an amazing first camera. Might want to invest in a tripod lol super easy to use still and no issues. Only a month in though but she's doing good for what I needed her for.

Packaging- It was packed in a box with "fragile" and "camera inside" marked, because we all have seen how packages are handled at railway stations, I don't know the efficacy of the demarcations in stopping that from happening with a particular package though.Items supplied- Camera body, Nikkor AF-P DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens, Nikkor AF-P DX 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR lens, 1 battery charger, 1 EN-EL14a battery, neck strap, manual. The camera body and 2 lenses come packed in bubble wrap and standard anti-static packaging. Others are wrapped in plastic. This does not come with a memory card or adapter. They need to be purchased separately. For first time camera owners, it is recomme ded to watch a detailed D3500 user's guide on YouTube first. Although, the manual does a good job of guiding the person and is well written, a visual guide would help a lot.Auto focus is fastest with 18-55mm lens, a little slow with 70-300mm but fast for everyday applications. VR is very good, lets us take a good shot, good for shooting outside. If you're shooting at night in Auto mode, the pictures tend to be grainy, the camera by default sets the ISO to 25600 at night or low light situations. A point to take note of if you are surprised by grainy pictures.Battery is decent, depends on how much you auto-focus and use live-view. Personally, the battery gives me 100+ shots easily when I take it outside. Takes under 3 hours to charge fully.Don't leave your camera connected to PC in on condition for long duration, it drains the battery. These are the basics worth reviewing, for other nitty-gritty details, go out, shoot, get dissatisfied, want to improve and search online. There are many great resources online.Other purchases to consider early on- a lens cleaning kit, a screen protector, UV filter, lens hood, memory card.Other optional/cosmetic purchases- camera bag, camera strap, spare battery, filters. There is a whole world of lenses out there for you to try on your camera and it gets costly pretty quick. Master your kit lenses and then get a Nikkor AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8G lens, goes for Rs.18000.What it lacks- advanced features like HDR or Auto Exposure Bracketing, one more dial for ISO or aperture setting in manual mode. Not a deal breaker in any way.Pretty good package but feels a little overpriced at Rs.53000 (July 2022), while I have heard it sold for 42 to 45000 earlier.

I'm writing this after owning this camera about a year. I stared my photography with a Canon AE-1. Then over the years I used an assortment of Canon digital camera. This is my true DSLR and first Nikon. I couldn't be any more happier. I bought the two lens package. I have used my 70-300mm and I love the reach of that lens but often I just shoot everything with the 18-55mm lens. I have taken over 1000 shorts with this camera in that time. I set the ISO setting to max out at 1600 and use the "P" mode for most of my photography. I also like the fact that battery last such a long time. My biggest issue with Canon cameras was the poor battery performance. I used to lug around three spare batteries to feed be beast with Canons. With this camera I can shoot all weekend with one charge. I must also mentioned that the the great deal Amazon gave me on this camera on the Black Friday deal. I paid $350 for two lens package plus the carrying bag. Great job Amazon! Great job Nikon!

I was super nervous to buy such an expensive camera and have little experience. I watched a few tutorials and feel more comfortable using it. Recently took it in a trip to South Dakota and my pictures were crisp and clear and beautiful!!! I downloaded an app on my iPhone where the camera connects with my phone and all my pictures were sent directly to my phone! Super easy to make an album or prints! Very Impressed with the quality and versatility of the camera!

Hello All,Before I start writing my review, first of all, I would like to send thanks to Amazon and the seller "Appario Retail Private Ltd" for their amazing 5***** service and providing me this top-notch product.I finally received my Camera #Nikon D3500 D that I ordered on 7th June 2020 with Kit lens 18-55mm VR and 70-300 mm .In order to cut long review short (In a nutshell)-1. Awesome machine for capturing memorable moments - specially who are beginners and are planning to buy a new camera to start but getting confused - I would not say much - just look at the shots that I took and uploaded here from my camera and you yourself will come to know what I am trying to say as there is a saying "A Pictures Speaks Thousand of Words" (Please note- all of these uploaded pictures have taken from its kit lenses itself - I didn't use any prime lens for these blurry effects).2. I don't want to go deeper into the technicality here - I would simply recommend all to buy this camera if you are specially looking to have your Camera for general photography purpose - not for commercial use. For Day to Day photography - it's A Jack Of All Trades!3. Easy to handle 5/54. Picture Quality/Sharpness wise - 5/5 :)5. For Beginners - just start with these two lenses first as this is fine enough - but down the line if you feel then go for other lenses such as Prime 50mm.6. Try to shot via Manual Mode/A/S/P Only (An advise for beginner only) - First start with the Auto Mode - Learn & Experience it, then go with the advanced level then you will enjoy the true performance of the machine :)At last, I would like to end by saying - Don't confuse with any other machine especially when planning to buy a beginner level camera - buy it with closed eyes :)Thanks,Parikshit

My first DSLR after many years with film. Lightweight and compact and not too noisy. I'd rather be able to pick the f-stop and focus on the lens. The autofucus takes too long. For a beginner it would be great. For anything more advanced you would need faster lenses.

I've used this thing for a year with no issues. It takes really amazing photos with a tripod. Works great handheld, not too heavy. However, they really should have put in ISO dial or a combination of a button press plus the dial to quickly change the ISO. it's a nightmare to change the ISO quickly. If you're shooting wildlife it is stressful to have your subject take off because you had to not only physically move to SEE the screen but also emit light FROM the screen to fiddle with ISO settings. Not ideal.

I bought this to replace my phone camera when doing nature photography. This is my first DSLR and I've had a blast so far using it. Very beginner-friendly, just make sure to look through the manual and spend some time learning its different features. The picture quality is great, especially for the price! Would recommend it for anyone who wants to get into photography without completely breaking the bank. The second lens is also nice and provides a good amount of zoom without being too bulky.

Great product for beginners to DSLR cameras. I had been wanting one for a while, because I just couldn't get the right angles or quality from my cellphone camera. I've only taken about 1600 photos so far, but this camera takes much better quality photos than what I expected from a low end dslr. Battery life is freaking amazing as well, I've only had to charge the battery 2 times since I started using it! Downsides are no touch screen, no wifi, and no plug for a remote trigger, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons in my book, so unless you NEED those features, this is definitely a good investment.

Got this camera for my wife. She's not very techy but after watching a YouTube video I was able to show her basics to get her to having fun. It is not touch screen or flip screen. In my mind that's ok. Less to worry about. If you are not patient and really don't care to read there are a lot of YouTube videos to help you set it up. I was pretty knowledgeable after a 30 minute video. Camera is small enough for my wife's hands. Lenses are easy to swap out. I did research a lot of reviews by camera experts before making a purchase. This camera was highly recommend in most cases. My decision was budget vs quality. Also had to keep in mind the advances in cameras. With that said this was a good choice. All in all nice camera that will grow with her experience.
