The Egyptian Papyrus, an ancient writing material, was produced from the Cyperus papyrus plant found along the Nile River. The process of making Egyptian Papyrus involved cutting the plant's stalk into strips, laying them in overlapping horizontal and vertical layers, and then pressing them together so the natural sap would bind them. After drying, this Egyptian Papyrus became a smooth surface ready for writing.

I should have read the reviews. I ordered original hand painted papyrus paintings to give as gifts on a recent trip to Egypt. However what I received were badly printed vinyl stickers of the images!!! It may have been worth the money for the joke factor as it made us laugh but definitely don’t buy !!!! Amazon refunded the money but it was a shame I had no gifts to pass on :( Wish I could upload images!!!!
