Attaching a split-ring lock washer to the nut side of a fastener prevents vibration from shaking it loose. This occurs using tension force causing the washer to bite into the nut and mounting surface preventing unwanted counterclockwise rotation. Over tightening of the nut reduces the effectiveness of the split washer. I prefer replacing a regular nut with a Nyloc one if faced with issues of a nut, bolt or screw always being loose.This collection of 300 pieces black zinc plated; carbon steel split lock washers come well organized in individual airtight bags. Each compartment which the bag sits in is labeled with the associated size. The plastic case where everything comes stored in is well built.Nice addition for any at home toolkit.

I like this hardware kit. I 3D print many projects and sometimes a lock washer is needed as part of the final assembly. High quality zinc plated steel. The entire set is split or spring washers and they work well. M3-M8 are included and everything is organized well in a nice storage box.Good value for someone who finds themselves needing metric spring washers, and a more affordable alternative to nylon locking nuts.

Smaller sized spring washers. I needed these for a stand alone chin up bar that was missing these part. The largest of these rings was the perfect size. Keep the main bar from moving around. No complaints or regrets.
