As far as I can tell, the cooler isn't intended to be used against the baby's body in the car seat (there's no gap for a buckle and the design is quite rigid once the water bottles are frozen). Instead, the goal is to cool off the car seat before the kiddo goes in it. This is especially nice if you're leaving the car seat in the vehicle on a hot day, and using a stroller, sling or other baby carrier during your visit. The freezer packs can hang out in an insulated cooler box (or the actual freezer if you're at a relative's house, day care, office, etc) and then go into this canvas holder to drape in the seat about ten minutes before it's time to hit the road. They're nestled into fleece fabric to prevent condensation or dripping on the car seat, so you're not giving baby a soggy bottom.I love the concept... The execution is a bit strange, though. The straps and snaps for folding up the canvas are super loose if you don't have the freezer packs in the fabric pouches (like if they're in the freezer...) and don't really hold it in a neat, tight package for tucking into a diaper bag or stroller organizer. The pouches also need to be propped open to dry after use, if you have condensation inside them and don't want to grow mold; I'm using plastic mesh tubes (fruit infusion strainers) to let them air out. It would be nice if they provided a drying rack or a set of props.

The material in this car seat cover is a washable canvas weave. The pockets of the seat have heavy hook and loop pockets sewn on the inside lip of each pocket. The seat is handily secured by a snap strap.The cooling is provided by plastic bags that are filled via a large hard capped opening. The hard caps are covered by the padded seat but not enough to make the seat really comfortable for a baby on a hot day.The concept is good but I will switch the bottles out for flat plastic gel freezer packs.

5/23/2025 review of the NNG Baby Car Seat Cooling Pad with 4 Removable Insulated Ice Packs,Portable Car Seat Stroller Cooler for Babies Toddler Kids Infants to Keep Comfortable in Hot Weather: $23.99The idea of a cooling pad to keep the baby seat / stroller from overheating a baby is really sound. For this to be effective, it requires pre planning. One needs to pre freeze the ice packs and keep them in a cooler when leaving the house (assuming the car is parked in a garage and not yet hot). Once parked at a destination that is outdoors and in the sun, remove the cooling pad from the cooler and place on the baby seat. For a longer trip, it means having a second set of ice packs ready in the cooler in the event of additional stops. Whether this preparation and hauling of extra stuff is worthwhile is subjective. But the cooling pad does a good job of keeping the baby seat cooler and more comfortable to sit in.

Cool that is not of the highest quality but works well enough. It has a set of ice packs that look like refillable bags with a cap. You then put them in the covers that gave the design. They are best for a full-size car seat. I would say it’s a little bit too cold to put under a toddler or baby, but they would be nice just to have around to cool off anyone.

Baby Car Seat Cooling Pad...📚Pros: Secure velcro, portable and compact folding, effective Cooling.📚Cons: Fussy to fill.📚Symmary: I didn't really think about it much at the time I ordered but these refillable pouches are a bit awkward and fussy to fill & the plastic caps create a hard lump that seems like it would be uncomfortable to sit on. The cooling aspect does work well. I like that this can be moved from a car seat to a stroller etc. overall I think this is an excellent idea but could use some improvement 👍
