About this item

  • Compact aluminum chassis
  • 27 keys with wooden finish
  • Integrated swell pedal
  • Standard MIDI plug for easy connectivity
  • 13.8-inch key length for proper toe-heel technique

Nord's Pedal Keys 27 is a MIDI pedal board with 27 keys, equipped with an integrated swell pedal. The entire unit is housed in a sturdy aluminum chassis that makes it both lightweight and rugged. It communicates via MIDI and can be used with other MIDI compatible equipment. To use it with a Nord C2 organ, just connect the MIDI on the Pedal Keys 27 to the Bass Pedal MIDI input (sold separately) on the C2 and activate the Bass section on the C2. The long keys have a wooden finish and a length of 13.8 inches, to facilitate the use of a proper toe-heel technique when playing. The short keys are gray in color to provide a better visibility even in a very dark environment. The Pedal Key 27's range is from C2 to D4, MIDI notes 36 to 62. The Pedal Keys transmit on MIDI channel 3. The swell pedal is easily mounted on the top panel, providing you with comfortable and direct access to this important functionality. The resistance of the pivotal travel of the pedal can be set by using two internal adjustment screws inside the pedal housing. The swell pedal connects to the receiving unit with a fixed cable, with a 1/4-inch TRS stereo plug. At only 34 pounds, the Pedal Keys 27 is very lightweight and portable. Since 1983, Nord has become famous for the finest electronic pianos, organs and synthesizers in the world.

Really love the pedals which work a treat. The swell pedal however is a different matter. It is cheaply built and it shows. The bearing action is awful and the volume progression is not linear switching from almost off to almost full in an instant. Replaced immediately with a much better built Yamaha FC 7.

I just got a new C2 along with the Pedal Keys 57...They're tight, but springy and feel just like a real B-3 console set.The pedals are a bit shorter than B3 pedals so you can use your regular stool, but they're definitely real console pedals and you'll have no problem romping away with proper toe heal action... With one foot on the expression pedal and the other walking away, I really feel like I'm playing a B-3, and they're great for tapping.I can't help but think back to all those old warn out pedal sets I used to play on B3s that had really seen better days where the pedals would suddenly drop and stick right in the middle of tunes... This really feels like the dream pedal set... If you get this and LESLIE half moon control switch for your unit, you'll really feel at home !
