This little thing is the best cherry pitter I have ever used. I’ve gone through five pitters in the last year because they either break or don’t work. I pitted 2lbs of cherries the other day and every single one came out perfectly. No pits stuck in the cherry. No cherries that didn’t fit in the pitter. Perfect! I don’t know if it will hold up to regular summer time use, I’ve only had it about a week, but it’s cheap enough that if I have to buy a replacement I will.

Does not work on olives. I had to put the olive at an exact spot, otherwise, the olive tilts and when its on its length side - this device doesn't work. It is hard to reach and put the olive in this precise spot, so the whole practice is mutt. Maybe it will work better on cherries - since they are round.

Every summer I indulge in huge amounts of cherries while they are in season and whatever isn't eaten gets canned or frozen. Every year I wish I had a cherry pitter, but never want to spend too much on one when I can just push the pit out with a chopstick for free. This year I found this little gem for a low price and WOW is it great! My young children thought it was great fun to operate and it made quick work of pounds and pounds of cherries this summer. I accidentally bought some unpitted olives and it worked great on those too! I was super impressed that such a low cost pitter worked so well.

I've only had this awesome gadget in my possession for less than 20 minutes, but I love it already. Removed the pit from almost half a bag of cherries and it's so easy to use. I always had to eat them in secret 'cause I couldn't get the pit out fast enough for my two year old. Now I don't have to wait for her to go to bed before I break open the bag of cherries.

This works really well! The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that when I tried to pit the first cherry, it popped apart in my hand. But since then, it's really good and so easy. I would recommend this to anyone from children to the elderly.

Works wonderfully on cherries! I haven't tried them on olives. I bought two for my young children to use. It is very easy to use and helps keep the hands from getting fatigued like they might with a squeeze-style cherry pitter. Once a year we pit about 50 lbs of cherries and these did the job! Always check the cherry to make sure the pit is not hanging on by a tiny bit of cherry flesh, but as long as you do that, you should be good to go!

This pitter has pitted 6 lbs of cherries perfectly. I haven't had any issues with it at all. It obviously isn't the right pitter for someone who needs large amounts pitted in a short time (took 40 mins to do a couple of pounds), but for me it was just right. Easy to use, easy to clean. Cherries do splatter juice, so wear an apron, but that was the only negative and it certainly isn't the fault of the pitter. And if you prefer to leave the stem on, just put the cherry in on its side instead of stem-side down.

This cherry stoner works fine, but it's a bit chintzy, and the top and bottom don't always stay together while pitting a cherry.
