This pan is such a disappointment. I have used it twice, both times hand-washed and did not use anything abrasive or metal on it. And yet there are now three areas where the non-stick coating is actively peeling off. I can remove it with my fingernail. Which means it could end up in the food I’m preparing in this pan, and I’m not interested in adding toxins to my cakes! Not recommended at all.

where has this been all my life? A square springform baking pan can allow easier cutting of savory cheesecake for serving, as well as many small appetizers.

I didn't even realize square ones existed until I went to make a recipe for my son's 18th birthday. He does not like cake but loves key lime pie and I had found a recipe that made bars. It called for a square pan. First thing I did was look here on Amazon and was happily surprised! The pan worked exactly as it should. I liked the groove the square frame fits into on the base - it seemed to really secure it, unlike the round ones I own with the tiny ledge for the bottom.And the bars were a hit. :) My Baking Addiction dot com, look up Key Lime Pie Bars. (We left out the coconut.)

Great shape. Larger capacity than standard springform pan. Need minimum of 40 oz cream cheese for a cheesecake. I will probably use at least one extra 8 oz package to be sure. I like idea of cutting square pieces for more uniformity.

I was hesitant to use this pan when I first got it. It is much lighter weight than my other spring form pans. Used it to make an Italian Rum Cake. Delicate sponge cake baked perfectly and the square cake was easier to cut and serve, than the traditional round cake.

Great square non stick spring form!!I bought this spring form because I make raw vegan cheesecakes, and wanted some variety from my round spring form, that I've used so many times. The only thing I wish the corner were not rounded, but a 90 degree angle. It's ok though. It's still a nice shape!!The only thing you have to be careful when using this is to hold the pan from the bottom tray. Don't grab the sides and lift it!! I did this by mistake and the side panel lifted, but good thing my cake had set in already, otherwise I would have my cake mixture spill out. When you use a round spring form you usually hold it from the sides and the ring won't pull up, because the bottom is 'caught' in the bottom groove of the ring itself. Well, this is a little different. If you just grab the rectangular side panel it will come off, the spring mechanism is not that strong to hold the weight of the cake. Hence the oversized square tray serves as a holder.Hope this helps! Still love this and will use it again for my vegan cakes!
