NOVA 6039 Cole Jaw accessory extensions are designed specifically for the Nova 6040 12" Cole Jaw Set. Easily convert your Cole Jaws from a 12"/304mm diameter up to 15"/386mm diameter by simply bolting on these extensions. Made from die cast aluminum, extensions feature pre-set holes for precise closing, durability and long life. Set comes with 4 jaw segments, special fasteners and instructions. Note: Extensions are not suitable with the Standard Nova 10" JSCOLE or Mini 8" 6006 Cole Jaws. Suitable for use on lathes with minimum of 16"/406mm diameter capacity.

The extensions fitted on nicely and gave me another 1 1/2 inches each side, or 3 inches total diameter so I can turn wider bowls. Easy to install and take off but I just leave them on as they aren't in the way.

I like these cole jaws because of the larger capacity. I also think they work better that a Longworth type holder.

Both the Nova Cole Jaws and the Extension Set are well made and fit together solidly. This adds 3" to the diameter the jaws can hold. The 8 rubber grommets from the Cole Jaws set hold the project adequately and can be adjusted to fit in one inch increments, plus the expanding/contracting of the chuck.
