The product works nicely, but it only came with the connectors show. No adapters for ST, LC, etc, so I don't know how they can say what they do. Also did not come with the batteries as described in the product listing, but 3 AA batteries are cheap. The manual is not worth much - you have to watch videos and play around to figure out how to use it.

There are better testers out there to be had, but if you don't use one of these on a daily basis, this should be good enough for most people not working in the trade. If I were going to use one of these for my livelihood, I would invest in a better quality tool, with a better accessory set, but for no more than I intend to use it, this should suffice.Like other reviewers have pointed out, this tester doesn't come with a FC to LC adapter so you will need to purchase one of those separately if you need it. It also doesn't come with batteries, but for me that's no big deal because I would rather use my own batteries anyway so that I don't have to worry about cheap quality leaky batteries ruining my tool.

After about 2 weeks of use I've managed to break off the flip-up cap and it won't sit in place now. It has 2 little nubs that snap into recesses on the sides and clearly they are not so robust. The tool itself is solid but the switch is a little "soft" for my liking -- it doesn't positively snap into position when you slide it, it basically just slides. I like the flashing mode, and the laser pattern of concentric rings is effective at what it's for. I've used better, but for the price this is still a decent fiber tester.

This is a nice bright light for testing your fiberoptic network. Sadly this kit does not come with any adapters. So if this is your first time getting one, you'll want to make sure you have an adapter if your connectors differ (like LC). I had to get an adapter to make it work for my network but once I did, I could use it to see the light on the other end but also to use it with a test device to check for other aspects of the cable. The built quality is solid, like an aluminum flash light. Works as intended and comes with its own pouch. But, you'll still need to provide your own batteries.

Great tool -- very easy to use... connect to one fiber terminal and "see the light!" at the other end (hopefully). Guarantees that you know what cable goes where. (Then use labels)You may need a converter (I did for LC)It's worth the money! Get it! When/If you need it it will be handy.
