Expose the solar panel in clear sunlight to let it charge as efficiently as possible. When the solar panel receives enough power to start charging, the power indicator light will turn red. It is not the main method to charge this emergency flashlight radio but good for battery maintenance and life extension.
Crank Radio
Turn the handle in clockwise or counterclock wise direction, spin the handle for 1 minute at the speed of 130 rpm. The power indicator light will turn red during getting power. Cranking for 1 minute can get the high beam light lasts for 30 minutes or radio lasts for 6 minutes.
Battery Operated Radio
Replaceable battery can be found in every family and can be easily purchased in the local store or Amazon online store. If you have some extra batteries, you can also use it to replace the battery in your radio. Compare to the built-in battery, it's much more convenient.
USB Radio
Open the rubber cover on the right side, use the Micro USB cable to connect the input charging port and the wall outlet. The blue charging indicator light will keep flashing during charging, 4 blue lights will stay on when fully charged.

We charged this unit but also tried the solar setting and the crank setting. Pretty good and the lights are super bright . Radio works and so this went straight into the bug out box . Pepper approved !

Good:-Good size that offers a lot of functions.-Easy to use.-The solar panel is small and charges quickly.-The motion detector worked well.-It’s bright and easy to see.Bad:-Instructions could be better.-If you want to angle the solar panel to catch the sunlight, the reading light will automatically turn on.-The radio is very loud. Volume control is difficult to adjust to a lower sound.-The hand crank seems fragile.I ordered the NPET 2020 Newest Emergency Solar Hand Crank Radio. After leaving outside for an entire day in full sun, it charged more than we expected considering the size of the solar panel. The lights are bright for reading and the flashlight. Overall, the concept of all the features are good, but there is potential for more like waterproofing and adding some useful tools into the radio.

with the current hurricane systems and possibilities being ever stronger this year getting a crank radio was at the top of our to do list. This one is super light weight and very convenient to carry and pack or keep in the emergency basket without taking up much room at all. It works perfectly after just a few cracks and we were able to pick up all kinds of stations without any interference

A definite must for people who live in a hurricane area were prone to lose electricity this is a hand crank radio. It works extremely well to give you access to power when your electricity goes out. I highly recommend you have this for emergency. I bought one for my sister who lives in southern Florida and it’s been of immense help through many hurricanes. We just moved to Florida and ended up buying one for ourselves. Priced very reasonably. Highly recommended.
