This is my first nut milk maker and not very experienced in making nut milk. The directions didn't come with any explanation about measurements or ratios for a proper nut milk. I really needed to investigate how much nuts, water and optional ingredients. There were other questions I needed answered like when heat was needed or not and I don’t get the boil function at all. It was just a long process. When with every kitchen appliance I have purchased there’s a little book of how to make food in what you purchased. Once I got all my recipes and

I have never made nut milk, but have spent a lot of money on oat or almond milk that usually goes bad before the whole quart is used. I'm not a heavy user of these milks but I do want them sometimes, and being able to make smaller quantities seemed like a helpful option. When I opened the box, I noticed 4 things:1) The device is surprisingly heavy2) The chamber only takes up half the height; the rest (and most of the weight) is presumably a big heavy motor3) There's a big mesh bag included that is never mentioned in the box or the manual (checking the listing I found one mention of a "nut milk bag" without elaboration)and4) There are no recipes or information at all about how to make any sort of nut milk, just a warning not to add too many nuts at once.I found a recipe that called for cashew cream, and this seemed like a good way to test this machine. The recipe calls for one cup of raw cashews, soaked 4-12 hours (the soaking not only softens the cashews, it also removes toxins that raw cashews naturally come with), then rinse until the water runs clear, and blend at room temperature with 2 cups of water.I used the "room temperature" function on the nut milk maker, which runs for 2 minutes. There are no independent time/temperature controls - once you pick the temperature, you're locked into the time the machine is set for at that temperature. That said, I also haven't seen any nut milk recipes that call for heated mixing, so that seems odd for a nut milk maker. Perhaps it's meant for things like a creamy soup or hot chocolate? They'll never tell, since that would mean alluding to recipes! The blending starts, runs for a few seconds, stops (apparently so the solids settle back down for more effective further blending) and then starts up again for a few seconds, repeating the pattern. The blending was extremely effective and I was impressed. I liked the cream, but my wife felt it was a tiny bit gritty. So THAT'S what the unexplained "nut bag" is for, presumably. It's a fine mesh filter, and I used it to remove the larger solids. The milk still settles and needs to be shaken before drinking, but the particles are very fine. The bag is easily washable and reusable. I made a second batch for myself without the filtration, both for that recipe and because I like it creamier and didn't notice any grittiness. The one thing I didn't care for, which is a small quibble but annoying: Once the cycle is done, the machine locks up. You can't re-start it for a second blending, you can't go back to the main menu, you can't do another cycle or temperature. You'll just see the "end" code on the screen and the buttons are all dead, as far as I can tell. The only option is to unplug it. So I did, waited a few seconds, then ran a second cycle without any issues. But it's a bit weird that you need to unplug it to get past the "end" display.

The Nut Milk Maker is a fantastic addition to any kitchen, especially if you're into making your plant-based milks like almond, oat, or soy. With a generous 42oz capacity, it’s perfect for creating fresh, homemade milk in large quantities, saving you both time and money compared to store-bought alternatives. I’ve used it to make almond milk and oat milk, and the process is incredibly easy. Simply add your ingredients, select your desired setting (it offers options for boiling, delay start, and keep warm), and let the machine do the work. The self-cleaning feature is a game-changer, ensuring that after each use, the machine cleans itself, which saves you a lot of hassle and time. The machine is very user-friendly, with an intuitive interface and a sleek white design that fits seamlessly into my kitchen. One of my favorite features is the delayed start, which allows me to set it up in the morning and have fresh plant-based milk ready when I need it. The result is smooth, creamy milk that rivals store-bought versions without the additives or preservatives. Whether you're making soy milk for your coffee or almond milk for baking, this Nut Milk Maker offers a simple, efficient way to enjoy your favorite dairy-free beverages. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to switch to homemade, plant-based milks!

I can confidently say the resulting nut and oat milk I've made using this machine is overall pretty good. Though admittedly there was a learning curve to using this machines. The instructions for use aren't very clear and it does not come with any recommendations for recipes. I had to look that all up online and it still took my a couple of tries to get right. But overall, I was able to successfully make nut and oatmilk at home.
