It was a nice upgrade from what was left in the house a few years back.

The temperature in various pans and skillets isn’t really controllable. In theory, the lowest temp setting is 140 degrees F, which should be mild enough for gentle warming and tempering for making good scrambled eggs, but it doesn’t work that way. When I set it on 140, it would cook eggs almost instantaneously. I tested it and it would boil water (so over 212). I bought an infrared thermometer gun and the temp read 350, even though it was set at 140!! This is a known problem with many induction hot plates: poor or nonexistent temp control. It’s too late to return it. I’ve considered using a cast iron skillet as a spacer plate, but this defeats the purpose of induction, which is to reduce electricity use and not have a burn hazard that comes with a very hot metal surface beneath your cooking pan. Ah well, the search continues…

I had bought another brand of induction cooktop and found it very difficult to use. I struggled to cook rice as the burner was either not hot enough or too hot. Also it was so noisy and I wondered if all the induction burners were this noisy?? I returned it and bought this one . This is a very nice cooktop and the temperature ranges are much more suitable for cooking as I have no problems and I've been used to a gas stove for years! It's pretty quiet and very easy to keep clean. Not to mention the reports about how gas stoves really aren't that great for our health! Also if I'm cooking something that might stink up my apartment I can take my cooktop outside! Can't do that with my gas stove!

So we bought this to setup in a temporary kitchen while a real kitchen is being built. I have never used an induction stove before, but I really love it. The locking ability is super great because we have a special needs child who doesn't understand hot things. It boils a kettle of water so so fast! We do have the silicon mats on top to protect the glass a little bit, I recommend them. But we use it every day for all of our cooking and water heating because we have no hot water here. It works like a charm. Largest thing I have cooked is a huge pot of chili, and it handled the large stock pot fine.

I had a single induction burner that worked fine but I often wished that I could have two things on the stove at once. My first impression was that this one was not as powerful but honestly it has never been a problem. The power is automatically adjusted between the two burners. You can not have both on full power at the same time. As you increase the power to one the power to the other decreases. This has never been a problem for my cooking style. I have one concern which is that the on/off and power controls are feather light to the touch. At first I often would turn on the burner by accident. This in not a danger if there is no pan on the burner. It could be a danger if you have children around. On the other hand, most would probably say that they like how responsive the controls are. There is a way to lock the controls but I had difficulty with it so I never use it. I would buy this again. 8-)

Purchased this product for one of an Airbnb and it is perfect. Quick, even heat and I don't have to worry about people burning themselves on hot burner. Works great with cast iron and can be easily tucked away giving guest more counter space.

I have used this unit for a while now and I am very impressed with it. The manual is minimal, but it is easy to use. Cooking times are shorter due to not having to wait for the element to heat up on a standard cooktop, and when it is turned off, it immediately stops cooking. Cleanup is easy.

The 5 stars is for the price point only. Based on features of other models, this is a 2 star if the selling price is ignored. I don't trust it a lot but I am building it into a counter to replace a gas stove. This brand is the largest top panel size of any 2 burner on Amazon. I bought the extended warranty, wise for this price point. Ignore the whiners about the flashing LEDs - sure it would be better to not have them flashing at all times but they are not that bright and you have to pay at least twice the price to get one without the flashing. The fans are the loudest I have ever heard for induction, this was avoidable because muffin fans are available with very low noise and high reliability for a few cents more. When built in, they will not be nearly as loud. The top panel trim overlap is quite small so an install has to have a precise opening with no margin for error. The "temperature control" is a gimmick, these just have power level outputs and there is no active control to maintain any temperature relative to pot temperature. The 3 lowest settings all use the same coil with a relay turning it on and off to vary the average output. OK as long as the relay used is heavy duty extended life quality. You don't have to think about the over current automatic setting of total power draw, it makes sure you can't exceed 1800 watts and in typical use that is no hindrance. Just time your cooking so you don't have to need full power from both burners at the same time. It can simmer two pots without hitting the maximum wattage level. Activate the locks to make cleaning less tedious because the button areas are very sensitive. Another joke about the design I dislike is the illusion that there are water boiling, fry, steam and warm settings. It makes you select one when in fact they all work exactly the same. This means activating a burner is always a 3 step process - on, then select, then set your desired power level if you don't want the medium output they call "300" which is in fact hot enough to burn food if you don't lower it as the pan warms. You get what you pay for. If you are picky spend $500 instead of $130 for this. The brand is obscure but it is sold through a fairly large website supplier with customer service.
