This floral foam worked great in my outdoor flowerbox. I used it to put evergreen boughs into a window box for winter decoration. Even though it was outside all winter, it held the evergreen boughs in place and did not fall apart. The size was perfect for my needs. The green color was perfect and the price was acceptable.

As a lover of Traditional Floral Designs, I have always used the green Oasis. This new brown Oasis Forage made by the same maker as the green Oasis is just as good if not better than the original and it is 75% degradable. I found it holds the plant material very well and doesn't break apart as much either. Perfection would be just water, but for designs with many flowers, especially large designs, this new product allows placement of the plant material much easier.

We used two blocks of this floral foam wedged into a 14" long casket saddle (plastic holder designed to sit on top of a curved casket lid) to make a large arrangement for my brother's funeral. We ordered a 115 stem assortment of flowers from the bulk flower section of a large warehouse store, and I had my doubts that just two of these foam blocks could hold so many stems. The casket spray was 4 feet long by 3 feet wide, so besides the large number of stems, the length of many of them made me question if the foam could hold them all securely. In the end, we were so pleased with the performance of these blocks. After allowing the blocks to become fully saturated in a tub of water (don't force them under, float them on top then let them absorb water and sink to the bottom on their own), the blocks stayed super wet and allowed us to make the large arrangement a day in advance without drying out at all. All the flowers and greenery stayed well hydrated. With the bulk floral purchase and additional greenery we had about 150 stems in total. Everything stayed in place without using any floral glue, even with the arrangement being moved/transported several times. The soaked blocks are a little crumbly, so don't treat them too roughly getting them into place, but after that they stand up admirably to the task.

Good alternative to non biodegradable floral foam. It works as well and is better on the environment.

I ordered this in hopes of a more eco friendly solution for creating aisle markers and so far it’s working beautifully but half of the blocks are crumbling prior to even being removed from the package.

I used this in an arrangement with some very long steamed roses and thick steamed greenery. Held beautifully. Everything was very secure and my arrangement lasted for a long time as well as not losing the shape or reinserting because the foam gave out. I'm very impressed!
