I purchased the alt 2 weeks ago after my orginal one failed. It came fast and installed perfectly. I thought everything would be great. I started my truck up and the new one was charging at 14.9 volts. This is a bit high so I let it run a bit. The Alt continued charging at 14.9 and never dropped below 14.7 until I drove it for 3 days. After 3 days it started charging at about 14.1. 2 weeks later I start my truck to leave for work and guess what...... its not charging at all. I contact Amazon for a replacement and end up missing a day of work. The new one will not arrive until the next afternoon so now I get to miss two days of work. Thank God I own my own business or I'm sure whoever I worked for would be pissed.It's truly sad you can't buy a quality product that is reliable anymore. I'll just go back to rebuilding my own Alternators and stop wasting my money on this junk. I'm going to install the new one tgey are sending me however I'm going to also rebuild the orginal one I took out 2 weeks ago to have on standby when this one fails again. I suggest you don't buy these unless you can properly test them after Instalation to make sure they are not overcharging so much that it damages your vehicals electronics.Make sure you use a volt meter to test your new one and make sure the voltage output in proper and not to high.

I need a new alternator but they were expensive locally. This was way cheaper and produced as much or more amps. I've been running it for 4 months now with no complaints.

It works and charges, but it has a whine and it seems be getting louder. Now it's too late to return it, only a month and a half old.

I liked the speed of access (2 days), the updates from the (small business) provider. The product Is actually better than the OEM unit I could have ordered. Good installation document and a sheet that showed performance under load.Works Great!!
