Fit good and seemed to work fine at first, but shortly after install, something happened inside the starter and now the drive gear won't engage the flywheel. The motor still spins, but it won't turn the engine over.

Product arrived on time and looked great. I tested out of the boat and installed it in about 10 minutes and the boat started with no issues at all. Turned it on and off a couple of times. Will just have to see how long it will last, last starter was the original one from the factory (Ford) and the boat is 30 years old so that starter lasted 30 years.

It's a farm truck. It's wore out. I tool a chance on this starter because it cost half of what my local parts store quoted. I very happy with it. Now I'm not saying this as a fact. Just an observation. If you ever payed the premium on bought a high torque starter. Well you can hear the power they have. This starter sounds like one of them, or maybe my old starter just sounded weak. Anyway. It's doing it's job and I can wait ok one day to ship. To save $50

Ordered this starter in December 2016, It works when it is cold, but as soon as I turn the motor off it will not start. I have to let the engine cool before it will start. Yes I did replace the battery. It is just a CHEAP aftermarket part that is not worth it. I will be spending the money this time and get Motorcraft OEM.
