Replaced this myself. Saved me hundreds. Just make sure you kill the power and ground the capacitor. Took 30 min to replace.

My old motor had not gone out but I suspected the 25 year old motor wasn't working as it should so I replaced it. Last summer, and so far this one, has been very comfortable and cool. I'm glad I switched.

This was an exact (OEM) replacement. Wires were long enough, install was simple and took less than an hour. The hardest part was getting the fan blades off. The new fan motor had the mounting nuts which was good, because the the bolts on the old one broke in the nut caps.Doing this ourself saved over $200!

My a/c unit died and I was looking at a new replacement for $4K, so I decided to replace the fan motor and capacitor, which worked. Check YouTube before you replace it.

NOT OEM GE Genteq!!! Installed anything hoping it would be fine. It has already FAILED!! Only lasted just over 3 months!!
