The Tersa Planer Knives are two sided and are used on each side before they are recycled. They are ultra-light and don't need sharpening. You simply use one side of the blades until they dull, flip the blades around, use the other side until dull, and recycle the blades after. No more wasting valuable time on sharpening. With the old corrugated blades it can take anywhere from 30 minutes per head to change a 4-sided Planer machine, not to mention the sharpening time which can be tedious to do yourself and expensive and time consuming to hire out.
