This Ohio Steel Lawn Sweeper features an extra-large capacity 22 cu. ft. heavy-duty collector bag and a 42 in. sweeping path allowing you to get your lawn care finished quickly. Patented spiral brush sweeps more efficiently than standard sweepers and puts less stress on gears for long service life. "No-slip" positive lock height adjustment has numbered height settings that can be changed while viewing brush for proper adjustment. Hopper bag empties by pulling rope from the seat of your tractor – just reverse to debris or compost area, pull the rope and you're done! Extra wide 9 in. chute is less likely to clog, especially when sweeping damp grass clippings that can clump together. Reversible hitch allows for efficient level operation with any tractor hitch height – without the use of easy to lose spacer rings!

Ohio Steel 4222V2 Lawn Sweeper:The item arrived with slight damage to the outer packaging and a small dent in the front. This did not affect the efficiency of the sweeper. This thing is awesome. Once you have the sweeper height set correctly (don't try to be too aggressive), it lifts grass, leaves, acorns, small twigs, etc. with ease. I bought this for to simplify maintaining my mother's property as there is a Pin Oak and Magnolia that are horrid for their leaves in fall and early spring. This makes it so much easier to collect the leaves for mulching and/or compost. It's also incredibly effective for grass and will leave a nice stripe due to the counter rotation of the sweeper. One recommendation would be to make a small wooden handle for the dumping rope or wear gloves. The collection bag gets rather heavy if the grass is even slightly damp or fresh cut. A small handle helps greatly. Also, this will make lower power mowers a little squirrely or slow. Any mower that has a tendency to slide will do so even more when the bag is full and trying to turn up hill, etc. Lastly, I don't know that it will cause damage to lower power mowers, but the transmissions aren't typically designed with the idea of pulling 22 cubic feet of wet grass up hill. Best to not let it get too full instead of risking premature failure of consumer grade transmissions.

Every piece was well made. Read reviews of cheaper competitors and most had comments of broken parts in shipping or breaking within the first hour of use. Not this one. It’s what I hoped for. A solid machine.

I am an old (70) experienced homeowner. I replaced my Craftsman lawn sweeper with the Ohio Steel sweeper yesterday. This thing is really well built. Assembly takes about an hour, the hardest part is overcoming the natural tension in the basket, otherwise it is simple. Use a 9/16” socket wrench and a short extension paired with a 9/16” open and box wrench. You could use a a pair of pliers and an open and box but it won’t be fun. A # 3 Phillips screw driver is very helpful in aligning the sides of the frame and overcoming the tension in the new bag The box says 30 minute assembly, if you have done a couple of these, maybe but otherwise, by the time you unbox it, find your tools and realize you need a screw driver to pull it into alignment…I spent 2 hours clearing leaves and pine straw off my acre. It did an excellent job. I suggest attaching a heavier rope just so it’s easier to pull. I put a bowline loop and drop it over the tractor’s mower deck handle. You definitely don’t want the rope getting caught up in the brush and wear gloves. In summary, this thing is built like a brick you-know-what and I would expect it to last at least 10-15 years of homeowner use. My craftsman gave me a decade and this is so much better built and less expensive If this how these guys build and price all their tools, I am a new patron

Sweeper worked perfect for 3 months and then the sweeper stopped sweeping as well. Come to find out I had a worn down wheel gear.I sent Ohio Steel photos under a warranty claim and they pointed out that the wheel dust cover was broken. At that point realizing that it was probably broken by me, I asked how much it was for a new dust cover and wheel/ gear. To my surprise, they turned around and sent me a new dust cover and wheel/ gear completely free! It's not very often these days that you get a company to do this. I was shocked. I will not only do business with them again but I highly recommend everyone do business with them. Customer Service is unmatched.

Works great. I was absolutely surprised at how well it worked. Easy to put together, it took me less than 30 minutes and it was ready to go.Doesn’t receive 5 stars because the packaging was seriously lacking and resulted in a dent in the product and two slightly bent tubes. Had to finesse the tubes a bit to make them line up but it doesn’t affect the performance at all. I just expect a little more care in how they ship their products. You pay for a product in the condition it’s in when it leaves the factory, but receive it in a “slightly used” condition, as if Ace Ventura delivered it.Do better Ohio Steel.

2nd update. The bar along the bottom of the bag snapped in half. I got two years out of it but am going to have to either buy another bag or upgrade. All I do is sweep a backyard about 6 or 8 times a year. Still highly disappointed.Update. Bag is a bust. Unless you have very flat land and can use it on turf the bag is going to fall apart. I use it on a sloping yard to control weeds and it’s hard packed dirt. The bag is falling apart after 8 or 10 uses. The bottom gets cracks that need to be guerilla taped after every use now. I am still pissed at myself for not catching that it was was not offset. If I had not waited too long to return it I probably would have because it is not offset. I just waited to long to assemble before I figured it out.Pros: Its big and wide and sweeps all the little bits and even the tiny dried up chihuahua poops I miss when scooping. It does a great job at it. I finally was able to use it after all the rain in Cali and was pleasantly surprised at how well it sweeps.Cons: the bag has ripped after 3 uses. You can’t fill it too much if the grass is green because it very heavy so you just have to make a bunch of dump trips. The screw holding the support that holds the bag up keeps falling out. It’s now lost and the support is bent. We fixed it but the support pushed through the bottom before it was repaired. And don’t drop the dump rope. It gets sucked in. IT IS NOT OFFSET.
