I use repurposed glass jars as food storage containers, and even though I do have a dishwasher, I had been washing the lids (and also plastic container covers) by hand. They took up a lot of room in the dishwasher's silverware basket, and I could never find a way to place them so they wouldn't flip over and collect water. When unloading the dishwasher, I was forever shaking off the water in the lids, then drying them with a towel. After I stopped putting them in the dishwasher, I got into the habit of setting a few of them aside until I could wash them by hand all at once. In the meantime, the jars would come out of the dishwasher, with no lids to hook up with! I decided to hunt for a grill BASKET, imagining it could contain several lids and hold them in a position where they couldn't collect water. When I found these mesh grilling BAGS, I knew I'd hit the jackpot. And my new system works perfectly. I place the bags on one side of the top dishwasher rack at a 45 degree angle, so they don't take up much room. The lids are held securely in the down-facing position, so they all come out clean and dry, and can be reunited with their jars right away! So, please be advised that I have NOT used these bags for grilling. However, I can tell you that they're very sturdy, and have held up well after exposure to extremely hot water and the dishwasher's Heated Dry setting.

These grill mesh bags are amazing. We love using them for shrimp, vegetables of all kinds, hot dogs, mini cocktail wieners, the list is endless really. They are super easy to clean by hand or throw them in the dishwasher. These will make a great gift idea for any avid grilled. Plan to purchase several sets for our kids next Xmas. You won’t be disappointed in these, the are superb!

So far I have used one to grill some veggies in and it worked perfectly. I used the other bag to roast coffee beans in the oven and I was very pleased with those results also. They are very sturdy and durable. Also easy to clean.

I roast 8 oz. of coffee beans in this bag. The only complaint is that just 2 snaps allow some beans to try to escape when I’m rotating them. However, the bonus feature is the mesh allows the bean casings to easily be shaken out after the roasting is complete. Shake! Shake! Shake! for a few minutes and I have nice, shiny, roasted coffee beans with no casing residue.

I'm doing some home roasting in my convection oven and this bag is ideal for that you simply lie the green beans inside set your oven to convection 400° and let it Go for about 12 minutes and you get a nice medium roast coffee that taste delicious with no Burns.

I can't speak to the usability of the bags since it is for a gift, but I received it yesterday and it was in an opened clear bag and the basting brush was missing. We have many of those so I'm not returning the bags, but it should be noted that the packaging is subpar and we didn't get all of what we were supposed to get.
