What a wonderful thing to have - a counter-top ice maker :) It works well, is relatively quiet (runs at a non-disturbing volume), produces a fair amount of ice in half an hour. You need to have somewhere ready to put the ice in your freezer as it melts sitting in the ice maker basket. Oh, the small ice is, well, really small. Other than trying it I have only used the 'large' setting as its worth another minute per batch.

The basket for ice is very narrow, hard to get scope in and out. I'm planning to return

I love this. It was inexpensive, but for what we wanted it's great. I turn it on when I get up in the morning, let it make a couple of batches of ice, and scoop that directly into my iced coffee that I brew just before leaving for work. It's not a sealed hopper, so it will keep your ice cold for some time, but if you want to make a supply of ice to keep on hand, follow the other reviewer's advice and scoop them into a zip-top bag and place in your freezer. They'll be a little damp/wet when you take them out of the ice maker so if you just put them into an ice bin they'll stick together. In a zip top bag, you can just drop the bag gently on the counter to crack them back apart. As for the noise... I wouldn't want it in my bedroom, but in a kitchen it's perfectly fine. You can hear it when it's doing things (filling, removing ice from freezing unit, dropping ice into hopper) but that seems to be expected. If it's low on water, you can sort of hear it struggling to fill itself to make the next batch; I appreciate this... it lets me know that I need to either fill it, or turn it off. If you want something for a conference room that won't interrupt your Teams meetings, this might not be the item for you. For a kitchen, I think it's great.

Wish it had more cold effect while holding ready ice. Cubes are a little 'watery' putting them into a cube bucket in the real freezer. Not made to be a stand alone, independent maker. EX., If you purchase thinking no more ice trays,...correct. If you think you'll always have ice ready outside of the freezer and you just freed up more room in the freezer, wont work for you. I wanted to leave the ice machine basically running full time as a lot of ice is used, however once the ice tray of the maker is full and sits for a while, the ice will begin to slowly melt. Once the machine senses inactivity (not sure of the duration), the machine will auto shut down, go to standby and melt the current ready ice. Whoops. But makes for good if you can live with an ice bucket in the freezer to dump the machine ice into every full cycle.
