What should have been a 10 minute job turned into a 1 hour job. The plastic piece would not remove for ips installation. It would not budge. When I used pliers to turn it, the plastic piece broke. I went to Lowe’s and bought a Danco version and it did take 10 minutes.

I bought this spout to replace the chrome spout while changing over the bath hardware to bronze. I was a little frustrated at first when I realized that the former owner of our house had installed the old spout incorrectly. Luckily, this spout was extremely simple to install. I cut off the threaded end on the 1/2” copper pipe that was too long for other spouts to correctly lay flush with the wall. Just slipped this spout on and tightened the set screw. The finish is a little lighter than I would have liked, but I think this spout will last longer than anything else we installed. The quality is noticible and it really shines. Also, the water comes out really smoothly compared to the other spout we had.
