There is a lot of chromatic aberration at the edges of the field of view. It only produces high quality images in the center of the field of view. Essentially a x1 image once you crop out the bad parts at the edges.

A cost effective device that gets to job done. It does increase the working distance with the stereo microscope where I can use a soldering iron comfortably

The OMAX 0.5 Reduction Lens has enabled me to use some old security cameras with my new microscope. I'm very happy to have found this product, it has worked better then I expected
