I honestly didn't thoroughly look over everything about this fan listing before I ordered it. I saw it was small (only 6-inches), it oscillates, it was fairly inexpensive, and it had good ratings. I was very pleasantly surprised when I got it.Yes, this fan is small, but it has a good strong airflow, if you need it. The horizontal oscillation and vertival "pivot" is just cool! I also love the fact that it came with a remote. The (7-hour) timer is also great, especially if you use it like I do, to help you go to sleep. The fan isn't silent, but it puts out a very reasonable 'white noise,' that actually helps me sleep, which I've had a problem with since I was very young.I bought a very similar fan maybe two years ago, and it doesn't pivot vertically, and I paid roughly twice for that fan compared to the price of this one.

Okay, first off this thing was a little larger than I expected. I had a clip-on desk fan before and this is much larger, especially with the permanently attached base.That said, the functionality is amazing. It oscillates both left to right and up and down, so you can get some really good movement and coverage and the remote is extremely handy. It also has some great airflow. I have been using this as my desk fan for about a week and it has been perfect for the hotter temperatures that we've been getting.Highly recommended. It was also very fairly priced for as solid as it is.

This is a great value. I live in Phoenix AZ and mostly like that it is remotely controlled and change speeds as I am sitting in my chair using my laptop. Coming in from the heat I can turn it down gradually as I get cooler. It's small size and black color makes it unobtrusive in the living room. I love it.

It is a GREAT personal fan, 5 settings, adjustable up and down and rotates. But you have to be no more than 10 feet from it. If you need a fan for a room, best to get a large tower.
