How to open the battery compartment?
1. Face the back of the electric can opener to yourself and support the electric can opener with both hands.
2. Place two thumbs side by side on the back of the electric can opener or press the electric can opener with one palm.
3. Slide the thumb down firmly.
4. Open the battery cover, insert the battery, and it can be used.
Tip:
1. Do not lift or forcibly remove the electric can opener during operation. Forced removal may damage the blade.
2. Make sure the batteries are brand new; inferior batteries may not achieve the desired cutting results.
3. If it may get stuck, press the button on the top of the electric can opener.
4. Make sure the motor has come to a complete stop before removing the bottom cover.

I should have returned it. Got it for my arthritis. This thing is no help. It's super slow, struggles (whether you remove the paper off the can or not), doesn't cut all the way, or doesn't stop cutting when it should. Is impossible to remove from the can when it's done. Plus the cut is kind of low, so cans with juice will leak everywhere. And it drains batteries super fast. I went back to a regular can opener.

I so loved this can opener because the first time I used it I actually thought I needed to push to make sure its teeth will cut the lid of the can but to my surprise I just need to put it on top of the can without putting pressure on it, press the start button and it started cutting and what is more amazing is it cuts so fine and perfect compare to the other can opener I previously had, you can really feel/see the rough/sharp part of the lid is cut - effortless way of opening. To note, it needs two double A batteries(not included in the package) to make it work. Serves as a portable can opener because of its size and weight - easy to store. The design is not complicated or simple but it functions how it is needed. Worth buying this and will highly recommend it.

So when I got this and I opened it, I was excited to use it because I broke my wrist years ago and I’ve had my shoulder replaced within the last couple of years so my strength isn’t great and cranking on a can opener is very difficult.Much to my surprise this is super easy. I put it on the can and I push the button and it cuts it the nontraditional way above the top where the paper is so it leaves a nice clean edge not a sharp ragged one.I made soup yesterday so I needed some beans and some tomatoes and this made my life so much easier.It is battery operated. That’s something to make note of.

I would say the opener works for the most part, however, you have to make sure that all of your cans are perfect, any flaw in the can will prevent the time from operating properly, and issue I never had with a manual can opener.

It’s to hard to use and harder to get off the can when the batteries die. Poor design and thought it would be helpful but it’s just made it more difficult. Words of wisdom find a different can opener.
