This is a great fire control device for your Weber Kettle. I put this in my weber performer and let it get seasoned up.We cook chicken often - and tools like this make it so much easier. The vortex that this creates puts a nice crisp on my chicken skins, while keeping the meat juicy and tender.I season overnight in a gallon bag. The next day when I warm up the grill this is already in there, full of coals and ready to go. Before using the onlyfire - I used the weber charcoal baskets - which are nice, but two of them together is more like a flattened football shape. Whereas this is a perfect circle - which gives you more room for more chicken on the grill. Also the fire is more intense because of the cone shape.Awesome addition!

Every Kettle owner needs to have one of these in there tools! I have used other basket/heat controller systems and this one has worked much better! Made from quality stainless which will last for a long time. Comes with the cone, removable water reservoirs, and the heat controller plate. Great for cooking wings or other foods hot and fast. Creates a vortex in the grill pushing the heat up from the middle and then down around the food. Water reservoirs keep moisture to help with heat control and food from drying out. Can get extremely hot and melt plastic handles if not careful!! Overall its a tool all kettle owners should have especially from a quality brand like Only Fire who makes some of the best kettle accessories out there!

This thing works great in my weber products. I have a 22" kettle and an 18" WSM. This is very versatile so i can do wings hot and fast, or ribs low and slow.

Honestly, I probably have too many BBQ/grill gadgets, but I'm never opposed to picking up another one. This set, which is basically a volcano with a water pan and plancha, is pretty sweet. So far, I've only used it with the volcano filled with charcoal and wood chunks, to directly roast a rotisserie chicken (on the Onlyfire rotisserie ring, btw). That worked pretty nicely. It's super easy to use, whether you put the coals in the center cone or around the edge, or whether the center cone is narrow side up or down, or whether you're using the plancha or water pans with it or not. There are a bunch of different ways to use it, and they're all good. You just need to experiment. As with any Weber kettle accessory, the heat control is primarily done with the dampers, and this one is no exception. It's super easy to control the heat and smoke, and it's pretty obvious and straightforward to set it up for either direct or indirect heat. I've only just scratched the surface with this so far, but I'm looking forward to trying all sorts of cooks on this thing. And the most amazing thing about this is the price. For less than half the price of a Weber kettle, you can significantly increase its versatility. That's pretty sweet. Overall, this is a great buy!
