Let me start by saying I love this GPS unit. I installed it on my boat that is kept in a town marina. It was easy to setup and the reporting is better than a competitor's brand that I bought a while back for my trailer.I bought this for a number of reasons - to track the boat in case of theft or mooring issues and also for piece of mind when my son takes the boat out with his friends. The Good:The unit is small and discreet and easily hidden on a boat so long as there's not too much metal between it an the sky. On my fiberglass boat that's not an issue so there were several places to mount it.Setup with the app was a cinch. Once the unit has power you just enter the unique code (comes on the box) into the downloadable app, setup an account and payment method, and the unit goes active and starts pinging home immediately. I think from power-on to tracking took me about 5-10 minutes.Tracking is very accurate in full-power mode and still quite good in power saver mode (my parked boat always appears within 5-15ft of it's actual location in power-saver). The unit has an internal battery but this is for backup purposes as it draws its power from it's 12v connection to your boat's batteries. A word about this - I've had this until on full power mode for for at least 2 weeks without starting or charging the boat batteries and I haven't noticed a drain at all. The app even conveniently tells you the voltage of the 12v source so you can monitor your battery level remotely (a nice plus). I mention this because I read other reviews where people complained of battery drain but I've not experienced this at all - I suspect those purchasers may have other electrical issues or have an automatic bilge or something on the same line. My boat has two batteries and this one is connected to the non-bilge battery so is the only drain when the boat is "off". Again, barely any drain at all.The Bad:My only two minor complaints about this unit is that wiring is not ready to go out of the box and there are no indicator lights to let you know the unit is functioning/not functioning/in error state, etc. There are several leads coming out of the unit for various purposes but I only needed the pos/neg power leads. The negative lead had a loop terminal that won't fit over a serious marine battery terminal and the positive lead was bare wire. This was not acceptable for clean wiring so required a little work splicing and soldering on larger loop terminal that easily fit over my marine battery screw posts. The wires are also pretty thin and fragile which worried me (especially in a crowded boat electrical bay) so I re-insulated them and wrapped them nicely to give it some extra protection. So - if you're buying this, be aware it may take a little prep work to get it ready for prime-time. I would have gladly paid a few extra dollars for this item to have better connectors included (or even a detachable connector which I DIY'd on my unit).Still, this is a one-time effort and doesn't detract from the items long-term usefulness and affordability so I think it still warrants 5 stars. The service plan for this unit was also among the least expensive plans of any of its competitors with no long-term lock-in! I haven't needed to contact their customer service for anything so can't comment on that aspect.I would definitely purchase this again and only hope that they address the leads issue and maybe add some indicator/status leds.

This is the second GPS tracker that I have tried and this one is the best so far!The good: ease of installation, competitive price point, good reception / coverage, the app interface is easy and intuitive, does not draw a lot of battery power. The bad: if you have the geo-fences set too tight the wandering resolution of the GPS will send a lot of false alarms, and the reception inside a steel barn or even a residential garage is problematic. I get 1-2 "signal lost" messages per day when it is inside. Granted, it is installed out of sight under the vehicle, so some of that is on me.Overall this is a great device to add some piece of mind my old classic vehicle that doesn't have door locks or any theft protection. It has a motion detector that sends me a text message if someone even leans on the door to look inside. The GPS feature notifies me when it leaves my property, and can be 'pinged' to check on its location at any time. The geo-fence can be adjusted to your location when you get where you are going also, but honestly that seems like a little too much work for me unless I was parking it overnight somewhere sketchy. The app has a battery monitor as well, so it will notify you if the voltage is getting too low as it sits between uses.

Installed the product per directions and could not get a signal nor could I see any of the lights in the unit that indicated that is powered, etc. So I assumed that the unit was dead on arrival. I emailed customer support to complain. The next day they responded that AT&T had a glitch right about the time I installed and they could see my unit. I opened the app and was surprised to see my RZR on the map. I could clearly see the paths that I took around the ranch after I installed it.Several days later I towed it to Baja California. It's my impression that it under reports the average speed, but I can't say for sure.

I am a 35 year experienced 12 volt installer and I have purchased SO many of these kinds of GPS units looking for a quality, easy to use, and inexpensive for all my exotics and classic car customers. They are all JUNK compared to this unit. 1st of all, the cost is only $13 a month. 2nd, the customer app and browser interface are super simple to use. 3rd, the service was EXCEPTIONAL! I like to give my customers a 2nd peace of mind as to manually disable vehicle thru the browser or app. This requires additional install parts and labor but works SO GOOD. The commands are instant and GPS unit wakes up in same state if power is disconnected and then reconnected. The app and browser show power state, battery charge and unit signal at a quick glance. The units settings allow a mobile or SMS number to report to for battery disconnect, Ign on/off (extra wiring), and loss of unit signal. I would recommend professional installation for extra wiring and parts for IGN sense or vehicle disable... I did have to call the toll free customer service number to get additional activation for output 1 & 2. Big shout out to Dainel M. and Fernando. They both knew exactly what to do and had me up and running in 10 minuets. I cant say enough about the GV75MG. Its tiny, the battery has lasted 6 days so far off of the main power source and still has 24% battery life, Its accurate down to 3 feet so far and the GPS speedometer is good for tracking how fast its going.Needless to say for the price of the unit and activation cost, there simply is nothing better out there.
