Got this to be part of a travel repair kit. Smaller in size that I thought (not a bad thing) and it powers up via the DC and USB C. Heats up far faster than I expected and seems to hold the temperature pretty well.So far only used it to repair an XLR cable, but it worked great to remove the old solder and apply new. Will have to see how it holds up over time, but so far I like it!

Everything about this soldiering device is top notch. Easy to use, control the temperature, and pin point tips. I was in the market for a new one due to the current brand X being poorly built. I am 100% happy with this UY Chan TS101 soldiering iron.

I bought this to do soldering on small gage wires. First time I used it was on 18 gage wire (not so small).I figured I would try it on this instead of getting my Weller out. Turned it to 350 degrees and I'll be darnedif it didn't solder the 18 gage perfectly. I'd recommend this little beast long before I would recommend anyrechargeable I have ever tried,

Great little iron, and way smaller then I thought once I got it. The custom firmware is a must if you want all the features this iron can do. I went ahead and purchased some extra tips because I’m just not a fan of the B2 tip that shipped with mine. Also if you already have any Dewalt power tools Amazon sales an adapter to use the Dewalt batteries for this iron… https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DZZLH7Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 BIG NOTE on the Dewalt battery adapter: Do not leave it connected or it will kill your battery if left connected.

This iron is great! Heats up super fast, easy to control and solder with. The stand with sponge and solder tube are useful, I'll probably use the XT60 battery adapter fairly soon, but nobody ever uses the ESD strap. The power supply is perfectly adequate, I wish the wire from the supply to the iron was more flexible (silicon instead of pvc insulation) but it works perfectly well. I found myself unplugging the iron after soldering with it, leaning it on the stand, setting up the next joint to solder, and replugging it in - it heats up that fast!Within 10 minutes of using the iron my immediate thought was "Why did I wait to buy this?!?"
