The material in this scope cover is very supple and durable. It was a little long for my f4.8 12.5" Portaball scope, so I pulled it up at the top and tied it at the right length so the material just reaches to within a couple inches of the ground. Works great.

Cover has mostly been used inside just to keep dust off the dob. Removed it recently and found the red inside coating had begun to separate and stuck to the scope every point that was touching. Will not put the cover back on as the inside coating took a lot of work to get it off the scope parts.

I use this to cover my Orion xx14g after settup, while waiting for the sun to go down. Reflective surface helps block sun. Also, used to cover scope during the day for multiple nights of viewing. Helps keep scope cooler, and helps avoid dust.

I LIKE IT, BUT HAVE NOT USED IT YET. I ORDERED WRONG SIZE - TOO LARGE. CAN USE AT ANOTHER LOCATION.PROBABLY WILL REORDER A BETTER SIZE (SMALLER).

This cloak is great! I love it's practicality. It lets me keep my 14" Dob fully assembled without having to worry about dust or anything getting on it. I keep it in my garage under the cloak until I'm ready to use it. Then I can throw it right back on when I wanna take a break from viewing. The material is very durable and comes with a nice sleek look to it. Highly recommended!

Works really well on my Meade Lightbridge 16". It's a bit difficult to get on by myself but that's probably more the size of the scope than anything about the cover itself. It helps to be sure the drawstring is loosened as far as possible before beginning.

This cloak does the job of keeping my XT12i nice and dry when I have my telescope set up.The quality of the cloak is very good (nice, water-resistant skin), and it compresses to about the size of a basketball or smaller once it has been pressed into its bag.I just attended a star party last weekend. I must say that when the rain clouds opened up it was a huge relief to have the cloak to simply slide over the top of my scope. A simple tug at the drawstring and my scope was completely safe from the falling rain. Other stargazers had trash bags or towels over their scopes so I definitely felt like I was the most prepared.The cloak is rather pricey though. I just missed a sale that Orion had on accessories and so I had to pay full price when I bought the product. Unless you are not strapped for cash, I would recommend waiting for a discount price before picking up the cloak. But for all it's worth, the bag is a great accessory for any telescope user, especially when the user's telescope is large and takes time to assemble/disassemble.
