The hold the bait really well and helped me land a decent sized sand shark on my recent beach trip. They held up well. I hope to land some more with this setup when I go back next month

Theas would be great if they were about 4FT instead of 9.8FT. The deal is, when surfcasting one of these things ruined the last two eyes on one of my 12FT rods. Because of the rig's length, it is very easy to get distracted and real it in too far while in a fight. Then if you are not careful or it is dark when you try to cast back out again, it will damage your other gear as the loop and crimp sleeve grab at the rod eyes. The leader is way too long in my opinion, but I feel they will probably do fine when fishing from the boat.
