Love it. It's an improvement over my other cheap banjo. Better quality parts, more substantial, and stays in tune way better than the old one. It has a tone ring which is what I wanted. I shaved a star off of craftmanship ONLY because it's a cheap banjo. Which is all I can afford.

The overall quality of the banjo is excellent for the price range. I bought the banjo as a backup to a more expensive banjo and as a travel instrument that I can leave in a travel trailer. I also like the lighter weight for practicing. When I received the banjo, it had a seized resonator screw (one of the screws the attaches the resonator to the banjo) that could only be removed by also removing the resonator's threaded brass insert, which it was seized in. I found the cause to be poorly machined threads of the screw. I contacted the seller, Instrument Alley, and they (Ben) returned my call the same day. Ben jumped through hoops to make it right. He offered to send a new resonator, but I was able to purchase locally a new insert and quickly repaired the problem myself. Ben then sent a replacement set of screws to match the originals and included a nice set of Dunlop finger picks as a thank you. Can't say enough good about their customer service!!

I was undecided between this banjo and the Ibanez B50. I choose this because I thought this would be a better choice, obviously. But now I am disappointed. It looks very nice and fine but doesn't play well. First string is almost useless, unless you play it open. Frets 2, 3, 4, sound dead flat, and it gets worse above 12th fret.

This is my first banjo and I think it’s great for the money. It definitely doesn’t sound as good as the high dollar banjos, but it’s great to start. I’d recommend some new strings pretty soon after getting it.

Perfect afforable average every day guy Banjo fits right in with my Acoustic. When you think of a well made budget priced performance ready or house Banjo this is it. Dont forget to change the strings and maybe add a higher bridge, I did, it gives it a different sound. Oh, and you can add a pickup for amplification.

This is a beautiful, well made banjo. I have had it long enough now I can say that it stays in tune easily, has a beautiful sound, and is made out of high quality material. The wood on the back is beautiful and it is just all around a great instrument! I am loving it.
