Tempted to give a one star. I don't understand how nobody else addressed this, but the stem is waaay thicker than the standard tube. I've been cranking on it for five minutes trying to get it in place and it just doesn't go in. Pic to compare the diameter of original bite valve stem compared to this one

My valve silicone split and developed a minor leak so I needed a replacement nozzle. I found this complete pair of valves with extra nozzles for a lot better value. These don’t seem to flow as well as my original valve (I even tried this silicone on my old valve) but it’s a minor trade-off for the money saved. The pull lock is easier to actuate than my original twist lock. These new valves don’t disassemble for cleaning.

After a hike last week, my hydration pack was leaking all over from the bite valve, so it was time for a replacement. This came as a nice set of two WITH an extra pair of replacements for the bitey-part. Having never replaced one before, I was a bit surprised at how quickly after dunking in some hot water that the replacement popped in place.The valve closes off well with the little slider shutoff, and the bite valve is a full 360 so you can bite any direction. Flow isn't the highest I've experienced, but it is still a sufficient amount.As long as these don't start leaking, I'll keep these at 5 stars!

I have an Osprey hydration bladder that I use daily for hiking and it started leaking from the bite valve. I realized it had a hole in the silicon and I found these replacement valves to solve the problem. I like that is comes with 2 complete valves and 2 silicon sleeves. My valve was fine so I just used the silicon replacement sleeve. It was fairly easy to replace and fits the valve perfectly. And it solved my leaking issue. The silicone is a little tough to get the water flow started, but I think it will soften up over time. I hope it will last well too.

Installed and ran a race with one of the valves, today, and it worked great. I personally don't like the valve cover, so I took that off - used to have one on another hyrdration pack for trail running, but got rid of it because they're a bit bulky and just another step to get a sip. I wasn't sure I'd like the "locking" function on this bite valve, but decided during my run that I do - not really needed, and a bit of a step in simple sipping, but certainly easier than removing a valve cover and seemingly will help avoid any stray drips. I could do without it, but I like it - particularly because I can just choose to keep it unlocked/open if I want to, but it gives me the added option of locking it down. For my previous hydration pack, an Osprey, just one replacement bite valve was the same price as this full set, so this is a good deal in my book. We'll see if they hold up long term - I suspect they will, but at least there are several replacements here if not.

I have a lot of hydration packs and bottles and like to have good mouthpieces available. These do the trick and are a nice backup or replacement. I really like the cover, which I don't have on any of my current packs. Nice upgrade!

This fit my Nathan hydration pack really well. The cover is a nice feature that the original bite valve lacked. Very pleased with this
