I had no problem fitting this inside a 12mm ID bearing. You do need to get one jaw in at a time. Nothing to grind.

Used this to pull a pilot bearing out of the blind hole in a Mazda crankshaft while replacing the clutch. Took less than one minute to pull the bearing using this tool. High quality and sturdily built.

just as described, Pulled my 1990 ford mustang 302 pilot bearing out with ease. i have looked up how to get pilot bearings out and instead of those ways i just bought the tool. bought this used from amazon and it was brand new without packaging for $10 dollars less. OTC is a solid tool company with great prices and great tools.

The black piece that holds the two arms was not threaded to screw on the shaft. Quality control Issue? Anyway, took 5 minutes and a 0.5" fine pitch tap to resolve the issue.
