This tent is ideal for my immediate intended use at home for my Whippet-Boxer to give him an area of shade in the back yard where no trees afford him a break. I have a 3' x 4' elevated bed that fits ideally inside and leaves room for me to hang out or lie down. I'm 6'1" and can comfortably lie lengthwise fully under its cover or sideways with my feet hanging out a bit but still on the extended floor mat, all while his bed remained. So, it's got space and room to spare.Granted it can be a bit tough at times to stay down on my knees, but that's expected because that's how it's designed and advertised for its bread-and-butter environment, the beach.Pop-up and pack-up are very simple and quick once you get in the rhythm. The material has withstood three such sessions each, and overnight stays for an extended time in a bit of rain as well. The window flaps were rolled out and no water penetrated that way. I didn't fully close the front main opening, so water entered with the help of a healthy breeze. The window flaps are a nice feature that I have only used to create a small breeze within the tent. We've had a spate of sunny hot weather the past week and the tent kept the sun off even at the toughest hours from noon to 3 P.M. So, the sunscreen rating has held up in this weather, but come July and August, the real test begins.I have some sandbags specifically for weighing down large tents and canopies which are overkill, but they eliminate any fear of a runaway tent or worse, an Oz-style flying house-tent. The poles are of a great quality and keep the tent stable, yet they are lightweight for carrying along with the tent in a provided bag.Next, I hope to take it on the road with my doggo and hang out at some parks relaxing after my PT sessions.Great value at an even-greater price.

Living in a landlocked area, we don't have the opportunity to frequently visit the beach (although we WILL be taking this to the ocean with us this Summer); however, this is the PERFECT track meet shelter for our little athletes. To have access to immediate privacy, an area where they can escape the sun, and a place to recover without the wind is invaluable between events.This tent/shelter is a lot bigger than I expected. At 5' 7", I can lie flat sideways and not touch the tent walls with either my head or my feet, meaning this could also double as a camping tent on warmer nights. I very much like the extra large door that doubles as a mat when on the beach or on the grass at a track meet. If I were camping, this would be valuable as well when packing gear into and out of the tent (I keep talking about camping, but I have never tried it with this tent. I just imagine how it would be now that I've had a chance to use the tent for other purposes).Another great feature of the tent is the windows. In my camping tent, I have always disliked having to zip and unzip my windows. I always seem to zip the nylon into the zipper. While windows with zippers are a must in the rain, I make a conscious effort to NOT camp in the rain. Instead of windows that zip, this tent has two simple latches on each corner of each window. It is crazy easy and convenient.The only place where this tent perhaps lacks is in the fact that this is not a popup tent. It's not a big deal, as it's plenty easy to assemble, but it's nowhere near as easy to set up as a popup tent. That said, popup tents have the advantage in the setup, but often cause grief in the takedown. It would be a tossup (no pun intended) on which one I would prefer.I'm excited to try this on the beach, but for now, it provides an amazing amount of utility for outdoor events.
