Pretty good value for the money but understand you get what you pay for. We have had our installation up for one day so we'll see how it works out long term but for the money we spent we are happy.Pros - very affordable electric awning 16.5' x 10' model, fast shipping and reasonable installation.Cons - instructions are not the best but doable, just plan to spend a lot of time accounting for every part up front and read the assembly manual a few times before assembling, it will pay off taking your time and not getting in a rush but for the price its really worth the product. The materials got a little banged up in shipping but nothing I could not bend back in shape. The materials are not super durable but for the price just make sure you only the the awning extended when in use and you can retract it if winds start to get stronger.Overall we saved a fortune, the awning looks awesome and we have really nice coverage adding enhanced outdoor living space.

Shipping sucks!Mine arrived damaged. I love the final product, but had to have shipping damages repaired. Seller credited me $100 to cover the cost of the repairs, so I'm happy in the end.

Seems to be an ok product BUT....THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE ABSOLUTE JUNK!!!! tried to find a video of assembly, nothing for our particular awning. Took 2 of us at least 4 hours to assemble, and a lot of that time was trying to interpret, and look at the pictures because what very little writing is on the instructions is in " chinglish". Just be aware that you will be confused, and frustrated.

Hands-down, the worst product I’ve ever purchased from Amazon. The instructions were all in broken English and the picture diagrams did not match the actual pieces that came with it. After three hours of attempting to put this thing together, we realized it is missing all the brackets to amount to the house and has a broken track.. save your money and your misery by a better awning than this

I bought the 16 foot version, which requires three segments. I'm pretty handy, but found this to be difficult to put together. The first hard step is sliding the awning into the groove on the center rod. While I was sliding it on, it got caught where the rods join, and ripped the fabric. I though I blew it at that point, but was able to repair with duck tape, and the fabric works perfectly, and you a can't tell there was ever a problem. One of the nuts to secure the segment braces was not tapped - there were no threads. Luckily I have a tap set and was able to thread it myself and it worked fine after that. There are 3 supports to hold the top cover in place - the middle support piece cannot be put on without taking the segments apart - it seems like a flaw in the design. It was a pain, mainly due to trying to decipher the instructions, but we did get everything together. Once it was installed (took 4 people), I had to loosen the outer support anchor so the arms could be pushed in all the way when the awning is closed - sounds easy, but part of my awning was 12 feet off the ground. The next issue I ran into was with the end stop limits. The inner stop (the stop when closing the awning) wasn't setup so the motor was overheating when closing the awning. This caused the motor to stop working for about 20 minutes (I thought it was defective). it eventually stopped working again, and after some trial and error, I was able to get the limits set up for opening and closing. It now functions perfectly and looks great, but this was probably the hardest backyard project I've ever done. I think a shorter version wouldn't be so bad, but the 16.5 foot version is a beast.

This is the 16.5 foot awning. We purchased this awning a few weeks ago.Me and two of my employees put it together. It took us approximately 8/9 hours on siding. We had to install a 2x6 x16 ft piece of pressure-treated lumber to the siding and secured it to the main studs. Please do not secure this just to plywood. It will come down due to the weight. The instructions are terrible. A third grader could write the instructions better. English is not so great on the instructions either. The remote is hard to pair and when you finally do get it paired, it stops working out of nowhere and then you have to wait at least 15 or 20 minutes for the remote to work again.I informed the seller about this and they told me they would send me a new replacement remote when I was talking to them on the phone. They told me they would send me an email and I never received it. I called back and the next person told me the same thing and I never received an email again. They had the proper email, because I made them repeat it back to me.Then I decided to email the seller on here. He advised me that they do not have remotes in stock,(the phone customer service says they did), and that they would have to send me a brand new awning. This awning is not light at all. So they want me to open the box, find the remote inside the box, retape up the box, then ship it back to them. They could have just sent me the remote and took it out the box themselves. They are lazy and I would never recommend going to this company ever again.I should not have to go through all this with the amount of money I paid. The awning isn't too bad, once installed, other than the bum remote. It's pretty sturdy as long as there's no wind. But as I said the instructions suck and the customer service sucks as well. Go with someone else if you want good customer service.
