The entire setup seems well-made and sturdy. It's comfortable to hold, and the blades are extremely sharp. Literally everything you need but the tree branches to cut.The extra blades are different configurations for different jobs. While they don't come with a protective sheath, the installed blade does, so it's just a matter of the extras being stored properly to avoid injury. If you're cutting branches taller than how far this extends, you probably need an arborist anyway.I really like that it came with its own sturdy soft case; it's sometimes hard to find storage for things of this size, and especially considering how dangerous it could be to leave this out, it's great for safety issues aside from keeping everything neat and together.

I used a similar pruning pole recently to trim the dead branches of some 50' tall Leland Cyprus trees. These pruning saws make this sort of task so easy. What I really like about this saw is it is built for heavy duty use. For example, the pole is strongly built without the foam collars on the handle that some cheaper units have that look nice but just move around. The pole extension is made via latch levers that positively lock in place vs friction collars which can move. The saw also has a nice handle for use without the pole. For me, this is one of those things I wish I got years ago.
