This thing needs new hardware and the pin on the crank broke on the first lift. Your best bet is to look at the design and go buy all of your own parts.

To make it lift from the bottom to the ceiling you will need 10 minutes of continuous turning. The pieces and the rope need to be placed perfectly for this to go smoothly. I am throwing this away and using another simpler device

As a Ford Bronco owner, this lift system has completely changed my garage space utilization! The installation process was surprisingly simple, and my cousin and I completed the entire installation in less than an hour (my garage ceiling height is 9.5 feet). Now my hardtop roof and doors are neatly suspended above and very easy to access. What surprised me most was the load-bearing capacity - I hung the roof (about 120 pounds) and all four doors (about 150 pounds) at the same time last week, and the system still ran smoothly. I have been using it for 4 months, raising and lowering it 2-3 times a week, and all parts are like new.

Stores my kayak and camping gear with ease. The reinforced straps and smooth winch make loading/unloading a breeze. This is the best garage upgrade yet!

After running the winch up and down 9 ft the worm drive is destroyed. It has now seized, and I applied heavy wheel bearing grease to the worm gear before turning it. It was only lifting 45lbs.I will be returning it.
