Use these for Taugs in New England. they are my go to hook that hold up to crabs and taug lips!

These are great hooks! They are extremely sharp and very slick. Great design that works just about perfect. The downside is the cost, but you get more hooks per pack than you do with the eagleclaw trokor hooks. I will say that eagleclaw trokor is American made and owner is made in the Philippines. Well made but made in Asia.

After using the Gamakatsu octopus 4/0 hooks on red salmon for years, I've decided to try these Owner hooks. So far, I'm really impressed with these octopus 4/0. The point in incredibly sharp and seem to stay that way longer than the gamas. These are more money, but I believe it to be money well spent.

These are some great hooks and very sharp. I usually use gamakatsu octopus hooks but they’re a little more pricy so I decided to try these. I will only be buying these octopus hooks from now on but will still buy other types of hooks from gamakatsu like the big river bait hooks. Only issue I had was one of the hooks was bad. Definitely give these a try.
