Each page has a large drawing space with primary ruled lines below. The primary ruling is 0.5 inches tall with a dotted midline for proper letter formation. Use the handy guide on the inside back cover for a quick explanation of proper letter formation through tall, small and fall letters. Tall letters extend above the dotted blue midline. Small letters sit on the red baseline and do not extend above the midline. Fall letters (or descending letters) drop below the red baseline. Example letters can be found on the alphabet chart printed on the inside front cover. The large drawing space helps grow creative expression and visual learning. Budding artists can use pencils, pens, markers, crayons, paint, stickers and stamps to fill the space with their creations. These books are great for children and provide a bigger space for them to work with than those usually bought at the store. They are sturdy and don't crumple in the child's backpack. It's worth the price (with a cute design as well).
