Like all Decelerator pads, this pad is super soft and features a stippled surface for a positive grip.

grind to fit perfection. Worked great for my application. Generic enough I bought another just to have one on hand incase. I put mine on an auto loading 12 gauge that was too long. ground to fit on my bench top belt sander nicely. I can see how this could easily serve in many different applications. AAA+++☆☆☆☆☆

Nice little 1/2” grind to fit recoil pad with 3.1” spacing. Used it on a Maverick 88 20GA with 3” spacing on the synthetic stock to shorten length of pull without having to cut it down. Worked great!

Fairly easy to shape and mount if you follow directions and have access to a bench mount belt sander. It makes my old Savage .410 easier on the first time shooter than the old hard butt plate that was on it.

bought this pad to put on a stock that was cut down for my granddaughter. It was the only one thin enough and small enough to do the job. Works great for this application.

Actually 4.5 stars - would be 5 if the manufacturer had supplied longer screws that actually protrude more then 1/4 inch. This is a grind to fit - and it takes a while even with a belt sander and 50 grit paper. One suggestion, don't try to hurry things along by trying to saw it close to size as the rubber wont cooperate. I ended up with a slight nick on the very bottom that while difficult for others to see, is there. To fit, I screwed it in place then using an X-acto knife with an 11 blade, outlined the trim-to size area. Then it's time for the grinder or belt sander to fit it to the size

I was looking for something inexpensive, and this fit the description. It worked great to finish off my custom stock that I built. Smelled like burnt rubber when I was grinding it, but I didn't expect it to smell like a raspberry. You should wear a dust mask when working with it.You can use a saw to roughly get it down to shape but be careful to not go too far. You can always take some off, but never put more back on... Then I used a dremel with a grinder bit to get it close, then finally an orbital sander to make it nice and smooth.I'm completely satisfied, plus some!
