After installing this horn it worked for about a week, then would only work intermittently. After that it made a faint noise when the button was pushed. While troubleshooting connection issues, I noticed an electrical smell coming from the base of the horn. The base was also very hot to the touch. I removed the horn from the boat and touched both wires directly to a battery. Same result as above
