Purchased to replace the trackpad in an 11" 2015 MacBook Air.The Good:Drop in replacement for a 2015 MacBook Air trackpad that no longer had a functioning button. Packaging is adequate without being wasteful. The Bad:No instructions included in the box, so you'll be watching a video on YouTube or a repair site.

My trackpad on my 2015 MacBook Air stopped working and I purchased this new trackpad along with an electronics screw set and a few YouTube videos later my new trackpad was working perfectly! A bit of patience is required so if you’re in short supply might just wanna have someone else give it a shot first.

Fit very well. No issues except for the fiddly little screws.

This seems to be a good product. Once it finally arrived I was pleased with it. I would recommend watching some how-to videos and make sure you have the proper tools. It's a little tricky to get the ribbon cables reconnected so take your time. The product saved us many hundreds of dollars over sending to Apple or taking to Best Buy. As long as it keeps working I'm happy!

So the Apple store quoted me $445 to repair my Mac. They ran their diagnostic test and I saw it was a trackpad error, which the regular hardware test (Press D at start-up) also had confirmed. But $445 really?! So, I turned to Amazon. This was the perfect fit for a mid-2013 MacBook Air 11" and has a nice feel. Took a little time to complete the repair but it's pretty easy if you don't rush. Remove back cover (8 screws), remove the battery (6 screws) then you'll see the trackpad. Two ribbon cables and 12 screws need to be removed. Extra care needs to be taken with the ribbon cable from the keyboard (thicker of the 2). The small plastic release clamp is easy to break but if you're careful it'll come out. Then replace the trackpad and re-attach the cables. You'll find that the keyboard cable is pretty difficult to re-attach since it folded and bent into the slot, hard to explain but you'll see. Overall, it's an easy, 30 minute repair and the replacement trackpad fit's perfectly. My biggest concern was if the trackpad would "feel" like the original. It does. No complaints.

Replaced trackpad today and it's not working. Not certain if it's the trackpad or my installation error. The extra cable was very helpful but I wish there were also extra screws.
