My 1968 Evinrude 55hp developed a very bad stutter at anything under half throttle. I went straight to cleaning the carburetors with zero improvement. Adjusted low speed mixture screws, but that wasn't it either. I could tell it was ignition related but decided to start simple; the ignition coil. This was a direct replacement and I replaced the old one in minutes. Night and day difference, a huge relief after chasing my tail trying to diagnose the problem. It starts and idles so much better than it ever has.

Wish the plug wires came assembled that's all, but it did work replacing original 50 year old 1974 50 hp johnson outboard Part.

Wish it was already put together or came with instructions but it's not hard to figure out if you have mechanical experience.

It would be nice to have instructions and not have to rely on You Tube. Figured it out, assembled all and tested with a digital multi meter. All 4 were almost exactly the same reading.

So when it arrived came in pieces hadn’t planned on a build ya own kit but got it worked out in the end came with no instructions
