I really prefer these frames to the round wooden hoops

So...my Yorkie puppy likes to tear up her training pads. This frame accommodates the 17 x 13 I use and it's plastic so I can wash/sanitize if she slightly misses.I know it's not the intend use but us puppy moms have to be creative!

The quality is good. Size is decent. The only issue is that it's so difficult to pull the edges off. My husband had to help me also putting it together because of how tough it was. Otherwise, as long as the fabric has enough over each side, it's a great product to have while embroidering more square designs.Ultimately, I had to add my border before I was finished because the fabric wasn't large enough to sit taut enough and used my largest round hoop instead.

Works every bit as well as the brand name clip style embroidery frame although they aren't universal to switch from one to the other. That's not at all necessary though - this will go on one project and stay with that project and my other frames stay with the projects that are being used on.

I’ve been getting into punch needle and wanted a larger frame for the fabric and one that would hold the fabric tighter. This snap frame fits the bill.PROS:(1) Easy to assemble the frame.(2) The frame feels pretty sturdy once the fabric is attached in the frame and I began punching.(3) It keeps the fabric taut while working, which is necessary when using the punch needle.(4) You can take it apart for travel or storage.CONS:(1) it’s not easy to get the monks cloth aligned in the frame straight. You really need two sets of hands to snap the clamps onto the frame while holding the fabric in place and taut.(2) the corners aren’t very taut because the snapping clamps stop before the curve of the frame, but so far it hasn’t been a problem. I just keep pulling the top/bottom and edges as I punch in that area to ensure that the corner fabric doesn’t get too loose.OVERALL:I’m very happy with this snap frame for my lunch needle projects. The size can be a tad awkward when punching in your lap, but I prefer this larger size frame for punching pillow, etc. This frame would also work well for embroidery or cross-stitching…pretty much any need,e craft that needs a tight frame for working.
