I bought this to keep my goats warm in their enclosure during a hard freeze. Our does had just kidded and we were worried the babies were going to freeze to death in sub-freezing temps. The enclosure is open at the top, so the ventilation that is normally crucial in the summer time was a real concern. I set this heater up, secured to the steel beams in the ceiling so it wouldn't tip over, and it ran all night on one BBQ-size tank of propane at full power. The inside of the enclosure, despite being open at the top, didn't drop below 35 degrees, while the outside got down to 10 degrees fahrenheit, so the heater definitely radiates well and my goats did great.Price-wise, it can't be beat. The build quality is good to very good and it's reasonably easy to assemble, taking me less than an hour from the time it arrived to the time I fired it up the first time to test it. My only gripe is that the protective film on the heat reflector at the top was VERY difficult to remove, but I'm glad it was there, since those things are so easy to damage in shipping. It kept my baby goats alive, and now it has a home on my porch so we can enjoy the outdoors when it's a bit cooler outside.

We purchased this outdoor propane heater last May and here it is March and it won’t stay lit. This is the very reason I bought this unit as the old unit that was 4 years old was doing the same. You can hold the lite button all you want and it won’t stay lit. Do not buy this unit as it’s junk and no support at all. Once they have your money your done. Buyers beware !!!!

So far so good. It took about an hour to put together and was pretty easy if you follow the instructions. The biggest pain was peeling the sticky film off of the reflector. Once put together we did a test that evening and it worked as promised. I had bought a cover for it at the same time and didn't know it came with one. So that was a pleasant surprise.

I guess you certainly get what you paid for and this is just that adage. The materials are flimsy. $159.00 is not cheap and 2 days after I ordered the price dropped $30The big issue I had putting this together was removing the blue film off the top cover shroud. The 4 pieces too over an hour. And I still could not get it all off. Ridiculous.Have not started it up yet. Hope it surprises me.
