I really wanted to love this. The presence sensor works really well and the water is quiet when it comes out. Most of it also comes apart pretty easily, so it’s a little easier to clean than others, which is why I bought it in the first place. Unfortunately it’s a mess in every other way. Firstly, there are a few spots that do not come apart easily and are very much not easy to clean. One of these spots is the *pump* or whatever you want to call it, which has no filter around it, meaning hair gets tangled around it and it either stops working or rattles all over the place within mere hours or even seconds of cleaning it. The spout of the water also often fails to provide enough weight to keep the *pump part spinning or from not rattling around, so it stops because of that randomly and often. There’s also minimal to no seal around that spout area, so the little amount of filter present is more or less useless. Also, if you do happen to plug it in, there’s not much in terms of water seal around that port, so it’s likely to get wet.

I have been using water fountains for my cats for probably 15 years, and this is by far the best fountain I have ever purchased. It does not get slimy, it's silent, and best of all... it's super easy to clean! I also love the fact that unlike other similar magnetic driven fountains, this one has the option of being plugged in versus relying on battery power only, which makes it even more amazing. The dish where the cats drink from is a bit small, but it doesn't seem to bother my cats. I highly recommend this fountain.

I Loved this fountain. Cats loved it to. Then I changed the filter. Cats no longer would drink out of it. Don't know what happened, maybe bad filter, but I tried more than one filter and still they would not return. I have 4 cats, none of them went back after filter change, and no other water source was available for half a day just so I could make sure they weren't going to use it again.

I’ve compared over 10 of these type of cat water filters and I recommend this one the best. I had one similar that is now no longer available on Amazon otherwise, I would recommend that one instead. The reason I’m recommending is because there are limited parts to clean. The other two that I ordered both have a box inside with other parts involved, even though wireless They still have several more moving parts. This one only has the two top lids and the one piece in the middle that handles the suction from the water up into the top of the fountain.The first one I bought a different brand has a similar mechanism with even fewer parts. I do wash these once a week or more, which is also when I refill them with filtered water.Anyone who expects any of these whether they’re plastic or stainless steel to not form scum on them Does not understand the nature of water. There are always particles floating in the water fountain from the cats, mouth themselves and anything else so you should be changing the water out at least once or twice a week anyway and washing these things takes five minutes. My first one has now lasted a year without any issue. I do wish they would make larger versions of these up to 3 L.

Filter alert is still annoying but the specific problem I was having was user error! If the water level is too low OR high the indicators for the flow type and the filter alert will alternate. Fixing the water level corrected the issue.Previous review: Good fountain but the filter alert is ridiculous! Just unboxed and setup this fountain today and it's already blinking that the filter needs to be changed. In order to get the filter light to turn off you have to disassemble the entire mechanism, you can't just replace the filter. Plus it literally stops the fountain from working all together until you get the filter light to turn off, even after replacing the filter. Super annoying. It is quiet and my cats like it when it's actually working. Additionally the fact that the filters all have a plastic case around them would have made me think twice before buying. (My fault for assuming the "tray" around the filter was part of the fountain not the filter itself)

Good water fountain, it’s easy to take apart and clean plus I don’t notice any sound that it makes. I sleep close to the fountain due to my room being small and it hasn’t bothered me yet. The filters need to be replaced once a month but cleaned every two weeks with just warm water. I’m only giving it a four star review because when the red light comes on for a refill of water it a new filter I have to fight to turn the light off by unplugging it and ect
